I know that you mean almh. I am annoyed but I think I knew that the writers would play the storyline like that. They were not going to give us the fairytail ending we all so desp wanted. As PF said though "you cant ignore a forest fire"

Maybe, by giving Ruth a husband and stepson they meant to make the storyline more complex, to give the HR relationship another twist before they finally do go out on more than one date. Although, I thought her faking her own death was enough of a damper on their relationship.

And Malcolm definitely was heroic to the end, especially with Ruth's stepson. That was soo tense.
