I thought it was a bit slow to start but then really warmed up. Ruth looked so healthy and happy in Greece it was such a shame that she had to be taken away from an idyllic life - regardless of whether she loved her husband as much as she did Harry in the past I think she was truly happy there.
As for Malcolm, I was so relieved they didn't kill him off but I doubt that was the last we'll see of him.
I think he will offer Ruth a place to stay with Nico (taking over from Wes as the resident kid) and will still be involved in one way or another - just hope he survives the series

It's looking great though and I think it'll be just as good as series 7.
