Gee, this is a hard one to answer, as it is such a personal thing why one likes certain characters more than others. For me it flows from the fact that I find Harry and Ruth the most interesting characters on the show, as well as the characters I can relate to and admire the most. The second very important issue for me is that the relationship was allowed to grow very organically. I think this comes from the fact that the actors brought it into their performances because they felt that connection when reading the scripts, even when the writers were denying there was any romantic intentions on their part.

And of course, the beautiful, and above all, subtle performances from the actors sold me as well. It is such an understated romance, unlike for instance Ros and Adam which were all hard angles and fire and brimstone. Harry and Ruth just feels more real to me because it is so understated.
