I don't think this was necessarily a "rehash" because you're right, the two stories were completely different. However, using the same, very specific, plot device -- older mentor agent "goes native" and younger agent he/she recruited is tasked to fix the problem -- is lazy. There had to be a better way to incorporate the Coleville/Ros background info. "What is the truth?" "Betrayal is a cancer. Let it eat your soul, not mine."
