RE: Episode 6 Discussion
I always thought of her 'reserved' nature was due to the actress not really fulfilling the potential of the part. As has been said previously there seemed to be no chemistry between them.

RE: Episode 6 Discussion
After re-watching s1, I think this is a characterization issue. Christine Dale also had that "reserved" quality -- hard-bitten, CIA chick who had to prove herself in front of the men. If this is the character you're presented with, it's kinda' hard to get any emotion into your portrayal.
"What is the truth?" "Betrayal is a cancer. Let it eat your soul, not mine." "Please tell me this isn't going where I think it's going." |

RE: Episode 6 Discussion
ok first and formost how awsome was ros in this ep! yeah she is siffering with something in the shaddow of jos death although why did she have her mail?
i loved the line to the banker ' i lost someone revently, its rather affected my judgement' the previouse couple of eps she has been doing an adam and putting herself into even more dangerous situations! its almost like she wants punishiment for what happened to jo which of cousrse isnt really her fault at all! Harry finaly noticed but she gave him a smart answer and im not 100% convinced she A spoke to the psychiatrist or B he is happy with her, i wonder if this will be mentioned again. silly lucas falling for the CIA woman did they all learn nothing from tom! i loved ruth asking harry out for a drink! and hoe eager he was to do it as well!! poor home secetary as well the nightingale people i imagine will put there own person in that office! oh well onto ep 7 (what am i going to do its been an epic month of spooks watching) SPOOKS 2002-2011 - Thanks for the Memory's

The scene with Ros threatening the banker with hanging is one of my favorite scenes in S8 mostly because she starts waxing philosophical in the middle of such a brutal and unauthorized act. It is such a humorously macabre Spooks thing to do! You think she is really cracking but then in the car after wards when Harry tells her to wait for the team and she tells him she knows he means it, you realize that she is still in control. As for the Home Secretary, I had never thought of Robert Glenister as a handsome man, but Robert Glenister is a handsome man! I'll miss him. I'll miss him with Harry. And on less shallow level, this character had developed very nicely through the last three seasons. Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks]; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. ~Wm. Shakespeare, Hamlet |

even harry was carefull how he worded that scene/conversation! that said she didnt do as she was told she didnt wait for back up! thats ros all over though isnt it her defence mechanisim is so strong it takes a lot for her to show her emotions! harry is one of the few people who she does that with!
i thought he was back in s9? he isnt as nice as his brother although the hold a whiskey glass the same ;-) i did notice tarik (SP) more this ep, although he is cocky he seems good as his job SPOOKS 2002-2011 - Thanks for the Memory's
