Jo Finally I can feel less alone...AmeriBrit here
I believe I've loved Spooks since my mother brought the DVDs home from the library and the obsession grew. I'm a Brit living in America, you see. I never ever get tired of watching the entire series (or creating converts, haven't had a miss yet) and my best and worst moments...well they're equal with the intro of Zafar's character and Jo's and the
Series 6 Spoiler: show
demise of Zafar
and
Series 8 Spoiler: show
Jo's death
. I honestly don't think that show has been the same for me since Jo.
I'm a 27.5yo F Brit living in the US with a major addiction to Spooks. Mores the pity me. Actually it's become a sort of obsession regarding the espionage subgenre. I'm even fascinated with advanced deception and body language reading.
I did almost cry when Fox canceled Lie To Me...Tim Roth is brilliant and not many American shows get away with lines like bollocks and wanker in the script.
Right me in a nutshell-I have an incurable pain condition I'm headed to California soon to treat, and if all goes well the treatments will push it into remission and I'll be wearing shoes again. One of my dreams. The other is to do something medical as a career. Also I make fun of Americans a lot, especially the CIA and think STARZ is killing season 4 of Torchwood.

I'm so up to date I annoy the crap out of anyone I watch with bc I recite the script. I may have possibly found a way to view Series 9 when it was airing at the same time in the UK. I just wanted the DVDs for the extras, which were usually Miranda's little setcams-those bonus features are what caused me to fall in love with her as an actress and character. Couldn't decide whether to thank her or feel bad when her real marriage seemed to be going down the toiletThhug...I'm such a loser Angel

Welcome AmeriBrit! You are in good company - British, American, or any number of other nationalities on these boards!

I agree, MR is fantastic as Jo and a wonderful actress. Always felt that Zaf is a great character if sadly underused.

Good luck with the treatments. I hope they go well. Smile

Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks];
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

~Wm. Shakespeare, Hamlet
