Series 10 Rumours & Speculation #2

Tomorrow steadily approaches - I've given up speculating and arrived at this:

Sasha is the main instigator of the plot against Harry.

Ruth and Harry will get their moment in the sun when they declare their love for each other but it will be brief maybe even only a few minutes and then either Harry or both will die in an attack of some sort.

It would be logical if Harry ended up dead as it would bring mean a new start at the Head of MI5 plus the BBC would have killed off any ideas of a campaign to re-start the programme.

I can't really see anything happening now but I'm going to be very diappointed if there's not something deeper going on with at least one of Dimitri, Erin or Calum. A very long stretch and highly implausible but Ruth "hid" in Cyprus and Dimitri's parents were Greek Cypriot.

Most of the previews I have read suggest this ending however in today's Telegraph the reviewer says

it is the most downbeat of endings

which does perhaps suggest that it could be a "fake" death and the final credits show Harry and Ruth sitting by the Swan River in Perth, Western Australia (for some strange reason this has been in my mind the last few weeks) enjoying a glass of the local wine.

Having thought about it and rewatched last weeks episode im now thinking.....

I reckon that Harry will kill Elena or Sasha and be blamed for the diplomatic fall out that comes with it and following that i think Harry and Ruth commit suicide on the cliff or fake their own deaths. The line that goes something like " lets go somewhere we can be together away from the service" strike me as maybe agreeing to top themselves. I think Harry knows it will come to this as having the CIA chasing him, the deferred case surrounding Albany and the Gavrik situation, the only way out is to disappear or end it. Maybe the scene in his house was him clearing any evidence or trace of his past? Might be way off with this but starting to make more sense to me!

I've just taken a look at this thread to see what it's all about and think I'll head back to Episode 5 discussion thread instead as the posts here are seriously alarmist! I don't believe any of this, there's no way Harry or Ruth will be killed off as that would kill off any chance of any future one-off episodes... which I hope may come. There was confirmation from Max Brown on Friday though that 'not everyone will make it' - so does that mean Dimitri or Erin maybe?

Yes, well after too-ing and fro-ing I've reached the calm before the storm. I have come back to the faith that Kudos simply wouldn't sell Harry down the river. I have faith in Harry always being 10 steps ahead of everyone else. And PF will do Harry justice no matter what the plot. I think Ruth will be ok too.

The reviews from people help me a lot. Ian Wylie says it's perfect and I've got a good impression over what he likes. Some of the anti-fan press say it's a dull ending, suggesting to me there will be a subtly to it. (Hinting towards an H&R ending as opposed to Harry gets blown to the sky) IMO.

As to the plot, well all I truly know for sure is that the 'bad guy' is

looking at digital spy. They have a much bigger pic of Tom striding up the hill & I've pretty much convinced myself that he's en-route to the Russian house from ep.1. Lets face it, he'd be a tremendous asset to those guys & Harry did bin him...

Highgate Cemetary - looks like a tomb in the right hand side of the photo. Also they've used cemeteries as a place for meets before...

I guess we'll know in under 3 hours now!

Hmm, I've just re-watched the clip of the Russian house in E1 and agree with you,

the overgrown garden looks remarkably similar to the backdrop in the Digital Spy photo - well matched! I have to admit to not having watched Spooks when Tom was in it so I can't really speculate on what his role in proceedings is - other than presumably he'd know lots of inside tricks used by MI5 and hence would be a powerful person for the Russians to have got onside...

I've just re-checked E1 and yes, some text flashes up saying the name of a place in Moscow before that scene, and the inscription on a tombstone is in Russian (or at least I assume it's Russian, it's certainly not English!) So they were definitely in Russia, but will Tom be?!
