Thanks for posting those figures AC. What on earth happened with S7!! I think Spooks did ok against DA, helped by a lot of annoying advertisement breaks and over advertising by a certain insurer. Last I read it had lost about 400,000 viewers. Spooks gain perhaps? Do we think the BBC regretted it's decision to place against DA? Probably not and the extra free publicity it generated must have been anticipated.

The viewing figures for S9 and S10 are not exactly comparable with earlier years. Before S9 there was a BBC3 'first look' which attracted a million or so viewers before the main BBC1 showing and therefore probably depressed the BBC1 figures. I don't know when the 'first look' started but I know it existed for S6, 7 and 8.
