RE: [spoilers] Favourite Episode?
I simply loved S6 Ep10, just because of Harry in the thick of it. In fact season 6 is my favourite season of all so far being a huge Harry fan.

RE: [spoilers] Favourite Episode?
Harry gets some good moments in season 6, but I wouldn't call it his best season.

6.10 is probably the best episode in season 6, I'll agree with that for sure.

RE: [spoilers] Favourite Episode?
I really like 2.5 with the EERIE. As you say, you start to think this is really happening. It has great acting in it all the way thorough.
I am not sure which is my top favourite episode, but it would have to have Lucas in it ! Possibly 7.2, 8.4 or 8.7.

Lucas 8.4: It's all about trust, isn't Harry ?.

I totally agree with you. 6x10 is a great episode. And 8x03.

REMOVED FOR VIOLATING SIG/AV GUIDELINES.

RE: [spoilers] Favourite Episode?
Posting when the forum is long dormant probably makes me a mad woman howling into the internet, but I just completed a rewatch and feel compelled to share my top 10 episodes.

10 - 10.6. I loved the finale, even as I wept for Ruth. Some perfect lines, and PF's performance is superlative.

9 - 5.9. A lovely ode to vintage spycraft, this stand alone episode features a reckless Adam who is quickly unraveling, while Ros protects a war criminal who is needed at the international court.

8 - 1.4. My second favourite guest star on the show is Anthony Head, who turns in a masterful performance as Peter Salter. Lots of funny lines lead to a tragic conclusion, leaving a gutted Tom to try and make sense of it all.

7 - 7.7. Harry's dignity and integrity even as he is tortured is magnificent to behold, meanwhile the team try to prove his innocence and expose the mole. PF and GJ do the heavy lifting in this, but it is a team effort, something that almost all these episodes have going for them.

6 - 8.1. Possibly my most unorthodox choice on this list, and not, I suspect, a common inclusion. But I loved this episode. Perhaps NW's finest acting on the show, and Malcolm's bravest hour.

5 - 5.5. Ruth sacrifices herself so that Harry can stay and fight the powers that be. NW and PF play the hell out this one, and broke our hearts as Harry was not even permitted to say what he felt as she left.

4 - 3.10. Danny's death is so affecting as he sacrifices himself so that Fiona can survive. A truly excellent script beautifully performed by the entire cast, all of whom get a good moment or two in this one.

3 - 4.9. When Harry is abruptly suspended for making what appears to be the wrong call on a suspect, the team must rally around him surreptitiously. This episode looks gorgeous, and a script full of old spycraft and beautiful little character beats ensconces this one in my heart, as well as the number 3 spot on the list.

2 - 7.8. Lucas and Ros escort Connie on a mission underground, while Harry offers himself to the FSB in an attempt to help stop a nuclear attack. The frantic pace of this episode ratchets up the suspense to a breaking point, and the claustrophobic scenes underground make for compelling viewing. This came in second by a very narrow margin to the excellent.....

1 - 4.10. This is Spooks firing on all cylinders, with a superb script, extraordinary acting and stylish direction. Angela's double bluff remains compelling no matter how many times I watch it, and PF and NW turn in some of their best work. It helps that Lindsey Duncan is the best guest star the show ever had, in my opinion. As I said on the relevant episode thread, this is also the episode I would show someone if I was trying to get them into watching Sooks.

Highly commendeds go to 3.1, 4.5, 6.10, 1.2, 7.1, 5.3, 2.9, 9.1, 8.7, 8.8 and 3.9. My favourite seasons are 4, 7 and 5, so it's not surprising they feature heavily on my list. Season 9 had some great moments but the sheer stupidity and disappointment I felt with the 'Lucas let down' of that season mean that no episode could crack the top 10.

For anyone who still cares!
