[spoilers] Spooks Locations

RE: Spooks Locations
For my last birthday my parents took me to London, and we went to Thames House. We walked past it, completely mortifying me as my parents were talking really loudly about spies, got to the end, and announced that the restaurant was back the other way Blush

Anyway, back onto locations before we get in too much trouble.

DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered.

RE: Spooks Locations
1.4, 15:18 Is a shot of MI6 (and the cool flats Big Grin) taken from the North side of the Thames, to the west of the bridge (my current theory... I never was any good at orienteering).

15:59 There's a road sign that says Goding Street (oh I do love road signs Big Grin) which is very close to MI6...

**EDIT Sorry, didn't want to triple post - thought double posting was bad enough Tongue On a thread in the series one area Nitrus put up pieces of trivia about series 1, episode 2 specifically:

Quote:In the first series the interior of Thames house was filmed in a college in Kensington, the night shots of the beach shown in Episode 2 ("Looking After Our Own") were actually filmed on the cobbled courtyard outside the university.
I think we have another couple of locations Smile

RE: Spooks Locations
Actually, I had a looksie at the other map and mine has a lot of differing locations/explanations so I'll stick it up anyway - it's definitely not as tidy, but hopefully will give some more locations out...

possible spoilers on pin explanations!

RE: Spooks Locations
I've got another location for you - from Series 1 Episode 6:-

00:28:35 "Broad Street Station" - the outdoor platform shot is of Platform D at Waterloo East Station.

However, the concourse shot at 29:46 is not Waterloo. I think it might be Victoria, but am not certain.

Now then, onto Series 2...

RE: Spooks Locations
Right, not one to give up I believe I have found the building used for the aerial location shot of the "London Regent Hotel, WC2" from 8.8
Spoiler: show
where Sarah was staying
and the building used for the Tears in the Wind Scene in 8.8. The funny thing is I think they are the one in the same building as I wasnt looking for the Regent. When I looked at an aerial shot of the building I thought was used in the Tears in the Wind scene I recognised it and went back and checked and yes it was also used as the Regent. This may make sense though. Kudos may have got permission to film in the building and use an aerial shot of the building, to save money.

I believe this is the Tears in the Wind building due to the location of the church tower to the north and red castle turrets, the black church tower to the east, the easterly direction towards Canary Wharf, and the north westerly direction towards the Gherkin and Lloyds. This building also had the correct metal design on the balcony which you can just see in one of the pictures. Also the balcony seems to go round most of the building which would explain how they could miss out the Monument (very tall thing with gold on the top) from the shots which at the time was covered in scaffolding for a year.

The building is where the red circle is in the first picture. It is Regis House, 41-46 King William Street, London.
Apparently there is a disused underground station and tunnels under this building which you access through the basement of Regis House and filming is often carried out down there. Series 7 I wonder?

RE: Spooks Locations
Tea Lady, you amaze me with your detective work. All I do is see places I recognize. I could never pinpoint places like you do!
