RE: A-levels/GCSEs anyone?
yeh thats what a PSA is, I have to resit all my year 12 ones this year I did so disasterously haha!! But I still love experiments even though I have absolutely no understanding of safety I remember doing that experiment with the hydrocarbon, I think we had a few accidents in my class too . I remember one last year where the teacher mistakenly told us that if it went wrong we would make TNT by accident and then the whole class was desperately trying to figure out what needed to go wrong, but (luckily) no one did haha.
And yeah I did like the electrons part last year I absolutely HATED moles though cos I don't do maths so I just completely panic when I have to use lots of numbers haha. And Manchester looks like a nice place, I went there the other week cos my friend had an interview and wanted 'moral support' haha, although I didn't go in the uni, went shopping instead oops , good shops though on the plus side . And I know Oxbridge seemed way too scary for me haha And I am excited I know what a quark is now I shall go round and randomly drop quark in to a conversation and impress all of my friends It is also a very cool word haha I like it

I used to do the same thing with my Latin. I used to talk randomly about a genitive of the sphere of which. I think people thought I was being esoteric or discussing te meaning of life.

Erm... Hard lol. I am getting rather sick of chemistry atm the module we are doing atm is all maths and I detest maths!! I mean if I liked maths I would have picked a flaming maths A level but I picked chem thinking it would be all lovely experiments but nooo!! Haha sorry I always go off on one I think I have surpassed my self this time with my little rant How are you finding them? You in yr 12 or 13? It's so nice to meet people you have things in common with and all through the wonderful Spooks!! Haha (29-11-2009 10:42 AM)JHyde Wrote: I used to do the same thing with my Latin. I have these friends who are massive computer geeks and also talk technical gibberish to me that I don't understand (in a very Malcolm like way lol) but I bet they don't know what a quark is I shall have my revenge

Just an observation - for the number of people on this thread there seem to be a disproportionate number of people studying chemistry A-level. Coincidence? I think not... It's because you're all rabid Malcolm fans. As are the programmers. And the linguists (Beatriz and I.) That means Malcolm must be our favourite character on the show!

RE: A-levels/GCSEs anyone?
Sorry folks -- I avoided chemistry like the plague and in college took what we nicknamed "Physics for Poets," but still love Malcolm and mourned his retirement! :little tear comes to eye:
"What is the truth?" "Betrayal is a cancer. Let it eat your soul, not mine." "Please tell me this isn't going where I think it's going." |

Each of us has a little bit of Malcolm inside of us :') But I also think it is because chemistry students are extra cool as are people who are spooks obsessed so there is bound to be some crossover Haha Linguists are cool too though What languages do you do?

Chemistry people are cool I think it's to do with our love of explosions.
