"Old School Ties" is written by Sarah Pinborough and directed by Julian Simpson. Julian is a Spooks alumni and previously directed Nicola in episodes 409, 410 and 503 - all classic Ruth/Nicola eps. He has also directed Nicola in two radio plays. Obviously a Nicola fan. Big Grin

Let's hope he's looking for cast for other projects in the near future then!

Can't go on, must go on

Ruth RE: [spoilers] Nicola Walker
Nicola will be joining the cast of a new 6x60 BBC drama currently known as "Anthony & Cleopatra". Apart from the name, this new drama has nothing to do with the Shakespeare play of the same name. The two lead roles will be played by Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid. Other known castings include Tony Gardner and Dean Andrews. More info on the Nicola Walker fansite, if you're interested. Smile

Update : Ian Wylie just tweeted confirmation that Nicola will be playing Derek Jacobi's daughter, Gillian, in this drama. His tweet also confirmed the casting of Anne Reid, Dean Andrews and Sarah Lancashire.

RE: [spoilers] Nicola Walker
I've been asked to post some of the Inside Men and Nicola Walker info here as there's been a few queries and a bit of discussion. I'm not allowed to give any specifics with regard to plot, but i can give some general hints and press released info.

If you want to watch the trailer (which is available outside the UK) and read all the press info so far you can find it here.

As for hints, i can tell you in episode 1 NW appears on and off, her scenes are mainly devoted wife/domesticated scenes. We do get to see her in modern clothes though and some colour.

In episode 2 much like episode 1 she spends a fair bit of time in her nightwear and they go swimming too. She has a lovely new hair style too. Smile The clip in the trailer is from episode 2.

There will be some screencaps from the trailer of Nicola on my blog later. Yahoo

Updated to add screencaps are now up Here

Sorry its no specifics but thought I'd give you an idea without revealing any plot. Silba

ohhh it looks really good.

I have no idea why the thought of Nicola in her nightwear makes me giggle. Far, far cry from Ruth eh?

I must admit, i did smile to myself at the strangeness of seeing her like that. Wink
The domesticated scenes did make me wish we had seen Ruth and Harry like that though Sad
