RE: Episode 4 Discussion
Excellent episode although as with the previous episodes in this Series it was a little slow to start but once it did!!..........................
Harry/Ruth is moving along at a steady pace. Personally, I'm not oversure Ros is MAJORLY affected by Jo's death the aftermath of which was perhaps the one disappointment here - they seem to have rushed over it far too quickly. Also , the grid is a bit bare - -they need at least one new character unless they're going to push Sarah as a major player. Stunning perfromance from Lucas last night and once again the ending caught me by surprise - however this has to be the end of the "killing" for a while. You can overdo it. Love the direction the plots are going in. |

RE: Episode 4 Discussion
A great episode. Well done Kudos and I take my hat off over the Scary Sarah character. They had us going there for a while. I never saw that coming at the end and spat my mouthful of hot milk over the lounge when she chucked him off the top of the building ! Great drama and writing.
Surely Harry and Ruth are now in danger themselves as they know about this "world wide plot?" Perhaps Ruth will need some close protection ! Love the B plot Harry and Ruth story. Clearly he has indicated to her how he still feels and she has not rebutted him. Harry is trying to build her confidence back up and is letting her find her place again in the world/Grid, by encouraging her to "prove it." Harry knows what he is doing with Ruth I think. |

RE: Episode 4 Discussion
Ruth/Harry interaction was definitely very good - the scene at the beginning was amazing - I agree Tea Lady that he's telling her subtly how he feels, trying to get a reaction out of her, but at the same time allowing her to get her confidence back.
Oooh, Sarah dropping her boss over the edge! Now that was something I wasn't expecting, I thought that she was going to stand up to her boss over Lucas, not turn out to appear to be a rogue agent in the CIA. The similarities between her and the original Christine seem to be drawing to a close - Christine loved Tom and loved her country. I doubt Christine 2.0 has either of these qualities. I watched the scene where she throws him over the edge with my dad, and I was murmuring under my breath guess who's probably a member of that secret organisation... I'm a bit concerned about next week's episode though - I was reading the blurb for the episode and it has Spoiler: show "Tariq? If you were a computer genius -" "If?" LOL. DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered. |

RE: Episode 4 Discussion
Excellent episode. The Lucas storyline was brilliant and very well played by RA. I still don't like the Sarah character - even though they have made her more interesting by being evil. I just don't think the actress is delivering a good performance, there were many instances in this ep where I could see her acting and it took me right out of the scene. And also, I think we've seen enough scenes of Lucas and Sarah smooching, please. Oh dear, Harry, after throwing all your toys out of the cot when Tom dated Christine, all you say this time is that Lucas should have vetted her? She's an operative of another service - there is no scenario in which it is okay for Lucas to date her! Methinks this decision will come back to haunt Harry.
Brilliant scene where Sarah throws her boss over the railing. He clearly trusted her, despite telling her earlier that he trusted no-one. Fatal mistake on his part. And I loved that it was one of Malcolm's old sources that provided the intelligence they needed, and that Ruth was the one that figured it out. I enjoyed the Ruth/Harry scenes as usual, I agree with previous posters that Harry has put his cards on the table, first by indicating that he needed to talk to someone about Jo - a rare acknowledgement of struggling to cope with what happened from the great man - and then specifically choosing Ruth to do so. And then acknowledging that he would always have feelings for her, although doing so in their more usual indirect way of communicating. So next move to Ruth. |

Was it just me? Or did I hear the voice of the Yalta guy in next weeks trailer?

Fatal mistake on his part. Yeah, he does trust her and I'm wondering why? When Sarah calls to tell Walker she couldn't get the bugs in Lucas's flat, he says "Get to the tower ASAP" (assuming tower=their hq). Then she gets kidnapped and goes missing for some hours. When they're next together it's as if nothing happened. Hmmm. (21-11-2009 01:53 PM)Nitrus Wrote: Was it just me? Or did I hear the voice of the Yalta guy in next weeks trailer? Maybe she'd explained it before the shot begins?
Nitrus, I checked, and I don't think so - the voice in the trailer sounds more gravely, although I could be wrong. DANNY - Placements all over the shop. She could have just said:
"Sorry I got caught up with something else. So, what was it you wanted to talk to me about?" DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it.
