The writers will be complete dolts if they let H or R die or becum separated. Lets nt forget that the writer love writng 4 those characters. If ne thng there their favorites..During the commentary of 9.1 one of the writers said "they shud just kiss".
So i thnk the writers will do justice to the pair of them.

Fans have been loyal to H/R for 9 years. After 5.5 they waited patiently for the return of Ruth to Harry and after 3 years what do they get: 8.1 and 9.1. True, the two episodes gave us fabulous acting.

We know that PF, NW and the writers want a credible but happy ending to H/R. The question is: Will this ending be dramatic enough for Kudos? Spooks is supposed to have an “audacious” ending, according to NW. Let’s us hope that “audacious” means the fans’ wish for the happiness of H/R and not the Spooks tradition of killing major characters

NW is spot on with everything she says in this interview, especially about her progression as a character last season.

If Ian Wylie is saying it isn't really there in the 2 eps what NW was talking about, we could also consider that scenes end up on the cutting room floor. And unless it's relevant to the plot, that implied suggestion in the script notes may well not come across on screen after the edit.

It is worth noting however that the scene fans witnessed being filmed on the embankment involved Ruth, Harry and the man in question out of his office (which many people at the time found odd) Interesting....

Yes I think lots of things stays in the cutting room... and Im only glad that THAT stays there too...
