RE: False Omen Ch. 7
Wonderful chapter, Ruth is safe!! Yes, please some will be great
I liked how Ruth got relaxed by conjugating French verbs... I loved our Harry had his buttons undone "Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt" Pactum serva |

Woo hoo! Snow day & a new chappie! (I'm one happy person right now!)
Loved it. Really did. The whole situation was wound up in a nice way and now we hopefully have some TLC heading Ruth's way. Thanks for making my day again! Codename Kirayuki: Vid Maker. H/R & Ruth fan. |

RE: False Omen Ch. 7
God, only Ruth could calm herself down by conjugating French verbs in her head -- just the thought of having to do that makes me start to sweat. Good job on Harry's part to intuit the right answers to Talat's questions -- training is worthwhile, after all!
Great action, great writing -- one to go and then I'll be sad it's over. But I still want the last one anyway! "What is the truth?" "Betrayal is a cancer. Let it eat your soul, not mine." "Please tell me this isn't going where I think it's going." |

(The thing with verbs is something I do. It works.)
Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

RE: False Omen Ch. 7
(As someone who had to take French I three times in order to finally pass it, this would NOT be one of the ways I would use to calm myself down! Doing math equations, maybe . . .)

RE: False Omen Ch. 7
much as I love the language I'm not sure French verbs would serve to calm me (unless RA was conjugating them) but math excercises would most defintitly confuse, if not irritate, me.. never really advanced much past my 13 times table
good thing she didn't try Russian grammar tho, the linguistic equivalent of water-boarding |

RE: False Omen Ch. 7
I can't believe what a surprise this was to most people. Admittedly these days I usually do it with Latin or Italian verbs, but it works really well.
Was it too implausible? Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

RE: False Omen Ch. 7
I don't think it was implausible, if you do it why not other people? There are millions of ways people calm down... And Ruth is the kind of person who will do it

RE: False Omen Ch. 7
No, it wasn't implausible, given that it's Ruth we're speaking of! It was just an unexpected touch, which is a good thing.
