RE: Fan Fiction Competition!
Sorry, but it wouldn't be fair then. Even though you say it's not a problem, it just wouldn't be fair. I can't do a competition where some people get one prize and others get something else. Sorry.

RE: Fan Fiction Competition!
Are we allowed to take up the challenge without our entry being included into the competition? For example, I'd quite like to have a go, but I daren't give my address out due to over-paranoid parents, so even though it's unlikely that I'd win anyway, if I did, I wouldn't be able to accept the book. Would it be okay then for me to (after the competition has closed) use the opening paragraph to do my own (non-competition) entry?

RE: Fan Fiction Competition!
Only I would know your address and it would not be stored anywhere once the prize would be shipped. If that makes you feel any better.
You are of course free to use the starting paragraph, once the competition is over. Sig & Av Guidelines | Rules | Spoiler Policy |

RE: Fan Fiction Competition!
It's not the fact that I'm giving out my address that's the problem; it's my parents who open the post... But thankyou anyway
But I think I will do my one not as a competition entry Av & sig by TygerBright, using my screencaps |

RE: Fan Fiction Competition!
Don't forget to keep working on your entries guys as we're almost halfway through the time allotted. Remember it's worth entering - at this point no one's entering so you have a clear field
The only way to write is to actually do it, so don't be afraid to show us what you got. Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

RE: Fan Fiction Competition!
Will there be another comp like this later on if this one is a success? Cos as much as I hate to say it I don't think even I can justify spending time on writing fic over revision So you shall all have to wait for my fan fic writing debut hahaha

RE: Fan Fiction Competition!
Well I pulled the trigger and submitted my entry - win or not, this was fun to do and I actually want to finish out the story I started with it

RE: Fan Fiction Competition!
Just a quick thing guys: I know it's annoying, but *please* keep to the upper word limit of 750 words. Check it in a word doc and get a count. Unfortunately, it's not like a uni paper where 10% over is OK. I wish
Keep the entries coming! Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

RE: Fan Fiction Competition!
The nice thing about the newer Word versions is it will let you select a section to count - if your word processor doesn't, the starting paragraph given is 104 words.
