The Prisoner
Anyone watch The Prisoner on saturday?
Opinions? So far I'm liking this remake better than the original, but to be honest I'm too young to remember the original and so have only seen random episodes on repeat which is probably the reason why. Don't know if anyone noticed but the doctor woman is the wife of Riff from series 3 episode 8 of spooks. The one where the baby gets kidnapped. LUCAS:They told me I could come home if I spied for them HARRY:What did you say? LUCAS:I said yes |

RE: The Prisoner
Hate to say this but we turned it off after 20 minutes. I AM old enough to remember the original and though it was very surreal it had a certain charm that I felt was lost by this updating and bigger budget remake. Port Merion after all is synonymous with The Village.
Sorry guys thought it was rubbish but I think that I will be in the minority If you reveal your secrets to the wind, you should not blame the wind for revealing them to the trees. |

RE: The Prisoner
I think that a new generation of people who like me haven't seen it will like it but I guess like most things remakes suck.
I don't like the setting for The Village it's hard to believe that there is any possible way of escape, from the short bits I've seen of the origninal I have to say I prefer the original's set LUCAS:They told me I could come home if I spied for them HARRY:What did you say? LUCAS:I said yes |

RE: The Prisoner
I commented on this in the What other tv do you watch thread. To recap I liked the new remake, it had good performances from Ian Mckellen and the actress who played the doctor. Jim Caviezel was a bit disappointing though.
We move on from this It's the realisation that I make a negligible difference Sometimes you have to give a man a chance |
