RE: Clothes and Style
I think Prada, he mentioned in one interview he was wearing a Prada shirt with a Dolce and Gabbana suit - nice taste if you can afford it......*drools at the thought of being able to afford a Belstaff jacket*

RE: Clothes and Style
I reckon Fiona's style is the best. If I were a business woman I'd be putting her style on.
I do like the cold hard bitch style of Ros and HR pulls it off well. Any attractive guy in a suit does it for me, but since I am a Harry fan - he wins hands down (not intending to be suggestive, sorry ) |

RE: Clothes and Style
Love the way Harry dresses but really wish they would spend a bit & get a new wardrobe for Ruth, her clothes haven't improved since last series, far too many black/dark things

RE: Clothes and Style
I definately like the middle two links - I think they're a Harry style. Not too sure about the vest.

RE: Clothes and Style
Hi all,
My first post! Only recently started watching the show but my partner and I have devoured Seasons 1-7 and have already ordered 8. Anyway, this thread is very timely for me as I've been wanting to smarten up a bit (I'm male and 36) and I love the stuff that Tom/Adam/Zaf wear, especially the single-breasted, mid-length black coats. The trouble is, I'm a bit of a naff shopper, and am having extreme difficulty finding what I want - and I live in London! I've tried all the usual high street shops but this year it seems to be all short, double breasted/military jackets which are nice and everything, but not what I'm after. I have actually found what I'm looking for in my local H&M (although it's not on their website). It seems to be just what I'm looking for: fitted, not too long (just above knee) and single-breasted. At £60 the price is good too, but I'm not convinced by the quality or how long it will last. The ones in the shop already look like they've been worn a few times, with loose threads etc.... Can anyone give me some ideas on where to get what I'm after? I guess I would spend up to £200. Regards, John |

I think they say a lot about her inner life which is what good costuming is. While it is true that the clothes she has been wearing are dark and covert, that, for me, reflects how she is feeling the whole series: like she is trying to hide. Even the new necklace she wears is difficult to see if you don't look hard. It is only very near the end of S9 that one, and only one, Ruth-like bobble is added. I don't think that was an accident as if someone said, Ruth needs something prettier. I think they purposefully added the bobble to show her coming to understand herself a bit better. I have also noticed throughout that she and Harry's costume colors very often reflect their synchronicity. Or not. Depends on the scene. I liked the general costuming in S9 because they have given each character a wardrobe as we would have in real life. My only criticism would be that each wardrobe is a bit limited. One or two more work work ensembles for each character would have been nice. Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks]; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. ~Wm. Shakespeare, Hamlet |
