David Tennant is my favourite delusion at the moment!!

Didn't they post the announcement for series 7 middle March when they had already started filming? They had casting news back then. Richard Armitage joined. I think they will announce a major cast addition too this time around and they want to withhold the news as long as possible.

Apparently some sort of cast read through for series 9 has already happened Smile

RE: Series 9 rumour - possible spoiler......
I was always interested in whether the actors are paid anything for the umpteen repeats of the best BBC stuff on the Sky channels -you don't think so Nitrus? They get a fairly raw deal then - not the best paid in the profession, their work sold on to other stations who repeat it, repeatedly [!]; dont receive any repeat fees, and then get the budget for the next series cut.

If this is true, it's scandalous. The last three actors strikes in the US have been over residuals (payment for re-runs) and internet viewing issues. Residuals are a major source of income for US actors. I'd find it hard to believe that British Equity (the actors union) doesn't have a contractual clause that deals with residual payments for Brit actors.

Sorry for the rant! But every-day actors are at the low end of the profits scale and they should be paid for their work, every time it's seen.

I must say I am very surprised to hear they receive no royalties for repeats! Is this the case also with the dvd releases? I completely agree with you lwhite53. I know a couple of people who are in the acting profession and everyone thinks they must be stinking rich but most of the time struggle to survive.

Hi Simone. That is indeed interesting. Do you work for Kudos or does this "someone" ? Do you/they know how many episodes there will be this series? We would be grateful for any other info you can get hold of.

I don't. This "someone" is involved but that's all the person told me.

Oooh, very interesting Simone!!!!

DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered.
