Stardust! That movie just really made me happy. Especially the dancing scene! (I pretty much liked all the "glowing" scenes)

Howl's Moving Castle is probably my favorite Miyazaki. It's an awesome movie. I keep forgetting to let my kids watch it. I watch it frequently on my iPhone when I'm away or bored...OK, maybe not too frequently. Still it's probably one of the movies I've watched the most in the last few years.

Stardust was OK. I actually watched the movie before reading the novel. The artwork in the graphic novel is awesome. I love Charles Vess' artwork. In this case, it's not a comic book, it's an illustrated novel, if you can find it.

The Resident Evil movies are very high on my bad movie list. They're lots of fun. When I get on that kick I usually watch Ultra Violet too. It has Milla Jovovich in it and is similarly paced to the Resident Evil films. Another film with a similar feel I like a lot is Equilibrium with Christian Bale. I think I even picked it up for $5 in the discount bin.

I just love Stardust Tongue

, and the soundtrack it's so beautiful!. I’ve the book but I didn’t know there was an illustrated novel. The only problem is that here in México is not that easy to find novels like this one.

I haven’t seen the movie, but I cried with the book. Another book/movie that made me cry it’s The Lovely bones.

I find it hard to name my absolute top favourite film. But I love: Pride & Prejudice (2005), The Notebook, The Cutting Edge, Out of Africa, The Mirror Has Two Faces and Persuasion (1996)

I still reckon Bacall was robbed of her Oscar on Mirror Has Two Faces. I think it was because the Academy was/is justifiably shirty with Streisand who directed it (she's meant to be horribly difficult to get on with, notoriously so). It's a great pity because it was one of Bacall's best performances.

But you only needed to watch Streisand giving out the Best Director Oscar this week to see that she makes everything about her.

Anyhoo, speaking of best directors and Oscars, The Hurt Locker is a great film, really worthwhile.

The Notebook is great, even coming a non-romantic like me.

Don't you know it's Barbra's world, we just live in it. I remember back in the early 2000's Ms. Streisand posted on her blog about how everyone should line dry her clothes. When pressed, she admitted that no she didn't, that she intended it for, and I can't remember the exact words, everyone else.

On Howl's Moving Castle, there are three books. Howl was the first. The Castle In the Sky is the second (also a Miyazaki film). I'm blanking out on the newest one.

Personally, I want Howl's castle. Calcifer is awesome too.

I liked The Notebook, but I have a hard time watching any version of Pride and Prejudice after watching the mini series in the 90s. It was really good.
