And doing some damn fine acting on top of it all. What's not to love? If this man doesn't (finally) win the friggin' BAFTA for this role at some point before it all ends, it will be...well, there aren't enough "o's" in the word stoooooopid to describe it! RE: Peter Firth
I prefer the shorter hair, like season 4 hair. How can you guys tell he's slimmer? We've barely seen him out of his coat...
He does look mighty fine in the coat, so I don't mind though. And kudos to PF on a wonderful performance in this first episode. It's up there with his best stuff ever on Spooks for me. |

RE: Peter Firth
I agree with that, he was a master of subtlety. A lesser actor would have played up the wrong parts, but I think he hit all the right notes.
He is noticeably slimmer, you can tell in the scene with Ruth outside the church. Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

He is looking mighty fine this season, so many expressions on that face! How on Earth can Ruth resist giving him a hug! Series 9.2 Spoiler: show |

You can tell by the way his coats and suit jackets hang. Also, around the face, his neck fits in his shirt collar better. He may not be quite series 7 slim, but defo a lot slimmer than series 8. |

How this man has escaped winning the BAFTA for this role up until now baffles me. I hope this is the year for him. Not that it really matters in the end but awards do get you more and better work opportunities. I guess he still has his Golden Globe. He'll still be brilliant and work more than ever after Spooks. It is still a travesty. Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks]; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. ~Wm. Shakespeare, Hamlet |

RE: Peter Firth
It is a travesty, A Cousin, one I think that will continue, unfortunately. Just from reading the positive reviews of 9.1 you could tell the critics don't take it seriously, they consider it light entertainment rather than a serious drama and no matter how good the performances of PF, NW and in the past HN, that seems to be the general view of Spooks.
We move on from this It's the realisation that I make a negligible difference Sometimes you have to give a man a chance |

You can go on National Television Awards and vote for Spooks and PF, so everyone get on there and Vote for Spooks and PF and lets hope that at last they will get the recognition they deserve.

Done and done double. I threw in a nomination for James Mays Toy Stories and Graham Norton as well. Graham Norton makes my laugh til I cry. Now cracks a noble heart.
