RE: Series 10 Rumours & Speculation
It's a beautiful setting. Harry can't be under house arrest in the countryside, since both are wearing work clothes. At least Ruth does not look mad; she looks full of concern (I don't dare say love) for Harry. I know that Spooks likes to trick us. They fooled us with the photo of the warmly dressed H/R on the rooftop before S9 started!
We can dream on till the airing of S10! |

RE: Series 10 Rumours & Speculation
I know we all probably knew deep down that this would be the last series of spooks, but now it's been officially confirmed, I actually feel quite gutted! I only hope Kudos and the BBC have got the final episode, right and Harry and Ruth get the ending they deserve....please!

More real. Interesting - Harry looks like he is upset and Ruth is persuading him about something. Ruth definitely the one doing the active hand holding. Work clothes, but no coat/jacket for Ruth and Harry is minus a tie. But as you're all saying, they do like to mislead us. Backdrop certainly is out of London. Oh god I hope that isn't Harry on the run! |

Never seen a pic of them holding hands like this S10 pic before though, even in S9, they were close but not that close And wonder why its in that setting... what brings them there? Poor Ruth, she actually has that "You have to let me go" kind of look in her eyes, similar to 5.5, I hope though its not a similar scene to her leaving in 5.5... can't see her leaving again Harry though looks upset, and it's a little worrying, and also they're alone, hope this pic isn't misleading and is actually a sweet moment between them (12-08-2011 03:48 AM)loladom Wrote: Ok this one looks different to the other scan. Oh god I hope that isn't Harry on the run! The newspaper one was scanned but this pic was taken from an online article so it's much clearer Notice how Ruth has one hand on his and her other hand is by her side but looks like she's about to reach up (Or am I seeing things? lol)... could this be a moment? Looks like a move on from S9 where hand holding was out of the question haha, 9.6 was the closest we got but it was just to get info to Harry, this hand touch is no passing of information, it looks like an emotional moment... hopefully a good emotional moment but Harry just looks so lost and upset Wonder what episode this comes from? RE: Series 10 Rumours & Speculation
I can't remember the woman's name but a while ago she said on twitter that she had seen the filming of the last ever scene of Harry on the grid but no sign of Ruth. She quickly removed it but it does seem now that she was telling the truth.

Yes, I remember the controversy. There was a big uproar. I was thinking the same thing as you. The twitter person might have been saying the truth, but to me the last scene of Harry on the Grid did not seem dramatic enough. I have read other tweets about Ruth's fate. I will not get into details.

I've also heard vague rumours about Ruth's fate I hope this doesn't turn out to be true although if it is, it is more likely to be one of the last ever scenes

RE: Series 10 Rumours & Speculation
The H/R relationship seems to be heading in a direction lots of people on here have been crying out for with the "coming to a conclusion" comment. That says to me the writers were moving them towards confronting their feelings for each other and coming together in S10 but then the obvious question would have been what do we do with them now? Spooks being what it is they'd have to kill one of them off at some point if the series continued ad infinitum so far better to have an exciting few final episodes that gives them a chance of walking, running, hiding or flying away together. Not holding my breath though!
Whatever happens I'm delighted Kudos have the balls to quit while they're ahead on this one because Spooks will become a classic cult series rather than drift into predictable humdrum nonsense. Sad too of course! |

RE: Series 10 Rumours & Speculation
I agree with you. Unfortunately, even if it is the last series, one of them could still be killed off. Another way to continue the series would have been for Harry and Ruth to work as a couple on the Grid. I suppose that it is not Spooky enough. BBC's budget cuts must have also influenced Kudos's decision.
I like your idea of Spooks as a classic cult series. |
