RE: [spoilers] Ruth
I know it's difficult but really try and keep discussion in here on Ruth, not HR. Thanks a lot. Smile

RE: [spoilers] Ruth
Oh I do love a bit of Hamlet in the evening...

As for Ruthie babes, I thought she looked grand at the ball. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the same outfit as she had on at the inquiry.

Anyway, I think we forget that she is a civil servant in the Security Services with a salary of a bag of rice and a packet of juicy fruits for her monthly wage.

If Ruth walked onto the Grid dressed in some Gucci suit with a pair of Jimmy Choos' , I would think she was on the take from the dear old Ruskies.

And moving on swiftly to Ruth in 10.1, I'm glad she seemed to have found peace with herself at last. She seemed to enjoy herself at the ball. She was confident and able to think for herself when Harry wasn't around. Well done gal. I was right proud, Mama bear Smile

Has anyone noticed that in the titles Ruth's having dinner with somebody? I think it's the HS, I don't like it one bit Confused

I'm Pretty sure it isn't Harry and it's unlikely to be Tariq Wink So I would guess the HS. What will the wine be though? White Burgundy?

"I know my role: good old reliable Ruth!" Ooooohhhhhh, Ruth gets snarky! Wink Is Harry's "Gal Friday" feeling a bit under-appreciated?

I can't help but wonder though, if this was any other op, that didn't involve a past lover of Harrys, would she be so "snarky" ? Why does Ruth expect to be told everything? I also believe that part of her knows Harrys time is up and with Tariq now gone, her links to Section D are getting more frayed, so why not go now? I feel sorry for Ruth.

RE: [spoilers] Ruth
I am a bit bothered by what I've read on the BBC about ep 5/6, one line in particular involving Ruth (Big spoiler so don't read and then shoot the messenger) Only read if you want to discuss it Smile

Series 10 Spoiler: show
it states she is now working for the HS. We know he has been trying to poach her, but I never dreamt she would ever actually leave MI5/Harry. Unless he has suggested she goes? Unless she is working as a special adviser but still a part of MI5? Does this mean we are in for a disagreement between H&R as under what other circumstances would she really leave? But what also bothers me is that if she leaves the grid full time, does this mean we are not going to see much of NW in ep 4? Until the point she assists Harry (now that part does give me some relief) I hope this is just a badly written/misleading PI.

I was completely shocked! However I am now thinking that she's been put there for a purpose, to play both sides. It must be easier to get any information directly from the source than hack into it which is what she would otherwise do if she was still on the grid.

Tess 24: I hope that you are right.

Series 10 Spoiler: show
I would hate a misunderstanding between the two. Perhaps Harry wants her safely out of the way. Perhaps Harry's past is just too much for Ruth. I never thought that Kudos would dare separate PF and NW, not because they are Harry and Ruth, but because of their great chemistry. They might see each other during their spare time; dream on.

I wish that Kudos had not hyped so much the H/R relationship in series 10. I could have lived with Kudos's promotion that series 10 was dedicated to Harry's past and its repercussions on the present without any mention of Ruth.
