Over the years we have accepted Harry's maverick methods because he was so committed to protect the realm at any cost. In episodes 1 and 2 he appeared more intent in saving his own reputation. if the impersonator wants to destroy not only Harry but MI-5.

Tom rightly said to Harry: "Physician, heal thyself". Perhaps Tom is the impersonator. He discovered the affair with Elena and the political implications of such a liaison. He was also sick of Harry's hypocrisy when he fought the liaison between Tom and Christine.

Let's hope that the next episodes will again highlight Harry's dedication to Britain and absolve him.

Hmm, I thought the impersonator was already threatening Britain's intentions to pally up with Russia, and not just Harry's reputation. Someone else, pretending to be Harry, used Elena to find out exactly what Britain/Russia are planning to do regarding their spanking new cooperation agreement. That is certainly more of a threat to Britain's interests than Harry's reputation.
