Alternative Ending

I´ve already signed the petition, but will write shortly here too. I was really disappointed by the ending, my biggest Spooks-related disappointment and maybe the biggest TV-show-related disappointment for me. Personally I would be really grateful if there would be a possibility of an alternative ending, even very short one. Can´t judge the reality of it but this one disappointed many fellow fans and it was pointless in my opinion, no need to try to fulfil a death-taxe or so, nobody would suspect Spooks of few tragic endings of their characters I suppose? This being the very last episode of the very last season, I believe it wouldn´t have been inappropriate to leave Ruth and Harry alive even if this isn´t a romantic series. I never expected them seeing before altar or so, but there surely were many ways to make a decent and appropriate, hopeful ending for them, even an somewhat open one, but hopeful.
