Just go to this website http://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks/ and type in the make and model of your DVD player and it will give you instructions on how to make it multi-region. All legal and above board. Have fun! "I like the niceties. They protect us from tyranny." |

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
I wonder how long my DVD's will take to get to Oz from the UK? My bets are on two weeks.

Well, my S9 DVD was posted on 27 Feb and I'm still waiting ... just over 3 weeks now. Probably depends where you are in Oz. Mind you, I have had post reach me 5 days after it was posted in the UK (and I live in a regional city), but that was airmail. So, if you're willing/able to pay the extra, it's pretty fast. Otherwise ... However, the extra cost of postage may negate the cost benefits of buying offshore. It would be wise to look at all your options, if fast delivery is a priority. Incidentally, post can be faster from the UK to Oz than between 2 Oz places (e.g. Tasmania to northern NSW). "I like the niceties. They protect us from tyranny." |

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
You are so right, Nixie. Mail sometimes took 2 weeks to go from Adelaide to Hobart. From the UK, it's generally about 2-3 weeks.
Hope yours turn up soon, Nixie and xRuthx. |

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
Nixie, thanks for the link.
Perhaps the reason I got my S9 DVD so quickly is that I specified - I think it was called Super Saver freight - which means Amazon UK posts it free to Oz. You have to ask, they don't offer! |

That's interesting cateau1. When I ordered my DVD it said that it wasn't eligible for Super Saver Freight

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
More info about Amazon's Super Saver Freight HERE. Only available for 4 countries outside the UK at the moment and scheme may expire on 15 May 2011. Who knows, if the current scheme is wildly successful, Amazon might be persuaded to extend the scheme to more countries and for a longer period of time.

I ordered a book about 2 weeks ago and the notice was up. I'm hoping they'll keep it going. |

RE: Series 9 DVD Release
From memory I read about the free freight to Oz only a day or so before placing my order. So I probably fluked it!
