I've been hooked since the very first episode was shown in 2002.

We had a similar thread to this here a while ago Smile

I saw RA in Robin Hood, and then I heard he was joining Spooks for S7. I'd seen a bit of a S6 episode before, but not enough to know who was who (or even what was going on) but I though it might be worth a shot. And oh yes it was indeed! Big Grin

RE: How long have you been a Spooks fan and how did it happen
I work at a book shop part time and since I am a movie fan I would constantly be scanning our DVD BBC section for series I might enjoy. I was then obsessed with RA in North and South and saw him on the from cover of S7. We had S2-S7 on DVD and our shop had a massive clearance. The Spooks DVDs became $20 each and were also buy one get one free so I bought the 5 series of Spooks for a cheap $80. The first 3 seasons I sorta watched rather lazily, 2 or 3 episodes a week or every 2 weeks. I knew it was good and I enjoyed the episodes but I wasn't yet obsessed. When it hit S4 I became absolutely hooked - largely coz of the burgeoning romance of Ruth and Harry - and went on to buy S8 and S9 from ebay.

It was the wind Ruth...

RE: How long have you been a Spooks fan and how did it happen
With me it's quite a strange/funny story Smile
I'm not a native English-speaker and I've just finished secondary school. We obviously learn English at school and I like going for some unconventional methods, like watching films f.ex. Wink After going through dozens ( yeah, I mean it: DOZENS) of BBC programs, shows and stuff, I've ran out of ideas and started watching Spooks in december 2010. And I'm SO happy I went for the series Big Grin My English is already really good, anyway (have I mentioned that I'm a very modest person? Wink so I can simply enjoy the show without focusing on the language anymore. I watched all the seasons and even managed to convert my eng. teacher to a spooks-fan Big Grin

I saw the marathon on A&E also, back 2002 I guess it was. My wife and I watched and loved the show. I would catch it periodically on PBS late Saturday nights, but it was difficult to see the shows in proper sequence. Last year I bought all 9 seasons on DVD, I am currently on season 6. So far my favorite characters have been Tom Quinn, Zoe and Danny.

RE: How long have you been a Spooks fan and how did it happen
I started watching Spooks when series 1 aired in Australia almost a decade ago... About half my life has been spent watching the happenings of Section D... Just about everyone in my family is hooked as well, and was kind of shocked when we heard that series 10 will be the last.
