H&R kiss that I missed the part with H and Elena further on! Upon rewind, it is clear that Harry and Elena are in some kind of passionate embrace in the park (PF is smoldering) and Ruth appears to witness from behind the bushes. The hand holding is also Elena and not Ruth. The dark coat is on Elena in the park. The question is though - is it really Harry?

Right, I have to get a grip. This is ridiculous!

the kissing scene was shot at the beach by the Thames according to the pictures of the fans. Harry and Ruth with her white coat were on the beach, so was the HS. They seemed to have some sort of argument, then the HS left. I remember that the fans were puzzled by the fact that HS was seen with Harry and Ruth on the beach, not in his office.

According to the fans, there was an intense discussion between Harry and Ruth. I believe that Harry left too. If Harry and Ruth had kissed so passionately, the fans would have gone crazy and crushed the internet. It is possible that the kissing scene was shot later, at a secluded area. I have the impression that this kiss is not the first one since 5.5.

Ruth seemed to have been crying on the steps to the beach, perhaps after the departure of Harry. Was Harry sent undercover to discover who was the impersonator and that's why Ruth was crying?

I have many more questions about this riveting trailer. We have a whole week to speculate about them.

Someone saw it but didnt get a good look at who Harry was kissing and assumed it was Elena, its so difficult to tell at full speed who that is but slowed down that woman is definatly Ruth!
So over Twitter the place went crazy over the rumour the Harry was snogging someone else when he wasn't, they just didnt get a good look at the scene until later when it was uploaded to youtube

I'm also thinking that it could be the beach scene where they kiss, but would they film a passionate kiss in public? Could it be a different scene

I like you're idea of this not being the first kiss since 5.5 as well! So can we expect more kisses in S10? I HOPE SO!

Does anyone else think that the crying could be linked the the fact Tariq is in trouble in 10.2? We've heard the PR the line "Can he get back in time to Thames House", so could it be Ruth crying at the loss of another close friend a colleague? Just a different way of looking at it

I'm still not like the way Elena is touching Harry's face...ew.... ew...ew, but perhaps it makes Ruth jealous enough to finally let Harry in and stop being so closed

I am very excited! Personally I do not think that that is in any way Elena that Harry is kissing, the coat and the hair both match Ruth in the later scene at the end of the trailer. Although I am slightly worried about her saying "This can't be the end Harry" or something to that effect, very dubious. Elena doesn't look like she is much to worry about, Harry doesn't look all that into her embrace! I wonder if who the young darked haired man with the gun is? Is he a main character?

That is NOT Elena holding hands.. but it is RUTH... its the same "standing in the field holding hands" pic... besides if u look close u see a birthmark and thats defooo Nicola Walker.... as long as she is not Elena as well

Isn't strange how we all interpret the scenes differently.

Harry did not look too thrilled when Elena touched his face in another scene. Even though Elena is still very attractive and elegant, she is no Ruth with her dimple smile (we might see it again in this series), expressive face and beautiful eyes. I do not know how Harry can resist Ruth. Sorry, I could not help myself.

I cannot make up my mind whether Harry was holding Elena because she was trying to embrace him. I did not see any passion in Harry when he was with Elena. Some fans think that Elena was shot in the park and that’s why Harry was holding her. It might be because in Episode 2 the FSB was after her and her son Sascha had to take deadly action to protect her. All I know is that Ruth must have witnessed the scene and perhaps came to the wrong conclusion.

Yes, it was Ruth who was holding Harry's hand in the field. He seemed to reciprocate her touch. I love that scene.

I will be happy when the first episode is over. We will able to draw a more accurate picture of what's happening.

I think Harry is fending off a frightened, over emotional Elena in that embrace. I am NOT going to like Elena!!

The hands scene, which is just wonderful, to me does not look like the caption photo at all. To me, Harry has his hands behind his back. Otherwise the buttons would be wrong.

The article by Ian Wylie makes me so sick that I really do not feel like speculating.

Ruth and Towers? Perhaps it will make Harry jealous, since he does not know about it. Except for the brief shot of Towers and Ruth, this is very unexpected. I should be happy, since Ruth is my favorite and I want all the best for her. But that!

My only hope is NW's comment: "..her (Ruth) and Harry are trying to find a way of working together without bringing their personal feelings into the workplace too much. But it’s sort of impossible for them because of what they mean to each other now. So it’s as it’s always been in a sense because it’s there whether it’s written or not."
Don't tell me more of they will/they will not.

Certainly Harry and Elena. We all guessed about that.

I still think that Ruth is everything that Harry needs: she shares the same convictions and is perfect for him emotionally and intellectually.
How wrong I was!

I will try to enjoy the spy side of S10 and forget about H/R. At least it seems to be confirmed that there will be a dramatic ending. Perhaps Harry will realize then what he has lost (though he ought to know by now) and which can never be found again. What a romantic fool!

The writers promised us the conclusion of H/R. According to the article, it seems it has happened but not in the way we would like.

I am still hoping that H/R will sudden develop again near the end of S10. After all the actors, at the time of the inteview, did not really know what would happen to H/R.

Ruth and Towers? Naaaahh, cant see it, a bit of filrting perhaps but nothing major. Actually i read something today in one of the TV mags that asked (I think it was Peter Firth) if Harry had sleep with the enemy during the cold war... and he said "No, Elena spied for Harry"... so erm, Not quite sure what to believe, but she's still making me nervous

I think we kind of expected that Harry would deny his love for Ruth at the tribunal as as motive to give Albany I still have hope for Ruth and Harry, PF said it himself, "with romance you just never know" but there is never any question that Harry loves Ruth, or that Ruth loves Harry, no one can deny what we already know,

I liked that Ian said Ruth is Harry;s plus one at the black tie event As if anyone else could be his plus one

Thanks for your comments. I feel somehow a bit more optimistic about H/R. I read NW's comments a bit closer and she seems to agree with you to some extent. It will certainly be a nail-biting series.

Anyone else see Peter's comment as "Too late for Ruth and Harry" as hinting toward the thoughts that one of the will be killed before they get the chance to have a real relationship? Just as things are moving on perhaps one of them is hurt or killed and they have happiness snatched away from them at the last second?
