But why would they cast him as Young Jim if it was indeed young Harry?
No one would really gather straight away it was Harry, and surely they'd just cast someone as young Harry as that role...maybe

Could be something to do with Harry's past perhaps, assuming here young Jim will be in flashback, perhaps with Young Elena?

"IMDB lists the actor William Hope as a character named "Jim Coaver" from 10.1 through 10.5"

Older Jim has also been cast, the Character is Jim Coaver (Read a few pages back assuming it's the same character) so if he's appearing played by (William Hope I think it said) it makes me doubt young Jim is Harry somehow, as older Jim's been cast played by someone else but perhaps he's part of an operation from Harry's past.

Then again there might not be anyone cast as young Harry at all

They did say the developments in the Middle East and North Africa would play some part in season 10. Seeing as the UK's involvement in Libya is restricted to air attacks, the character probably ties into that storyline?

This is actually one of 2 castings, we know of, so definitely a Aviation/Airport vibe going on in episode 6 of Series 10!

Don't like the look of this. 2 episodes too giving us the clue the investigation into Harry will be a two-parter. The fact they have hired another actor suggests the plot is substantial and cannot be done by PF/expose. I do hope this isn't taking screen time from PF himself, especially if this is the last. (I say this as I'm just re-watching S8 and really dislike how Harry is so underplayed and left on the grid from ep 3 onwards while Ros bulldozes through everything) and I dislike it immensely!
Still S9 writers seem to be much more Harry (and Ruth) fans, so maybe it won't be as bad as I fear?
