RE: Episode 6.6 [Re-watch]
I’m sorry, but I can’t get past what a huge betrayal this is from Ros. By planting those bugs on the Grid, she not only allowed Yalta to help Iran get nuclear triggers and threaten the lives of millions of British citizens with the poisoned water, but who knows what other information Yalta picked up from those bugs? Especially from the one in Harry’s office. She realises herself in this episode what a huge betrayal it is, and that Yalta’s intentions are not pure and that they were using her. But does she come clean and at least give Harry the information he needs to limit the damage? No. Instead she tries to save her own ass. Gah.

Loved Malcolm in this episode, he once again got to go out into the field, and showed his forward thinking by planting that device on the plane that allowed them to force it down. That scene where he tells Harry and Connie what he’d done is brilliant. He also got to save London from the poisoned water by his quick thinking. Go Malcolm.

At least Adam is getting back to some of his former glory now he’s not required to use all his energy juggling Anna and Ros.

I also liked the scene between Harry and Bakshi. The actor playing Bakshi is really good, and his scenes with Harry always has so many layers. It’s great to watch.

Jo didn’t look half menacing swinging that huge big axe.

RE: Episode 6.6 [Re-watch]
I thought this episode had too much going on. There seemed to be a lot of threats but it was not as 'clean' as Spooks can be.
Can't believe Ros was so surprised that Yalta was prepared to kill innocent people, she appeared to be very naive where Yalta is concerned.
I think the Iranian Special Envoy plays a brilliant part, never quite sure how evil he really is, he seems to just want what is best for his country.
The part with Malcolm and JO in the pumping station was fun, but I didn't really understand what was going on.
Didn't really like the aeroplane scenes, especially the CIA guy not being listed as a passenger, that would have flagged him as a potential target straight away, surely the CIA are not that sloppy.
And how did Malcolm detonate a charge on the fuel pumps if the flame suppressors were disabled without blowing up the entire plane?

It was interesting to see Adam and Ros actually failing in their task.

I feel that Ros' involvement with Yalta is a major flaw in series 6. I like the Yalta idea,
Series 8 Spoiler: show
even though it is very similar to the Nightingale conspiracy, hadn't realised that they were so similar.
but I don't really buy into Ros' commitment to them.

RE: Episode 6.6 [Re-watch]
Here I am, bringing up the rear again. Angel I watched 6.6 and then fell asleep watching 6.7 so apologies in advance if I get them mixed up.

I do not hate this spisode if only because Malcolm and Jo get to run around in the field being BRILLIANT! Yahoo I also really, really love the delivery of Harry's hook line just before the opening titles run, "Whoever this is, they know what they are doing. And they know what we are doing as well." Or something like. It just sets the table so all you have to do as a viewer is pull up a chair and start devouring it. And I do kind of like how they let the team get it all so terribly, terribly wrong.

The first half is better than the second half. I guess what I am saying is that the set-up was better than the pay-off.

Again, the interactions with Harry, Bahkshi and Hogan are some of the best stuff.

I liked the plot construction re: the water contamination but not the triggers. Even though they are entertwined. Although the end of the airplane scene is pretty nail-biting. However, I found Ros' reaction to the jeep driving away a bit melodramatic.

I find myself just zoning out when it comes to Ros & Yalta. It still seems so perifery and I'm too lazy to try to put it together by myself. Ros has a lot of passion but not a whole lot of acuity which is out of character for me.

Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks];
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.

I loved Jo and Malcolm together, especially when Jo checks that wood is a good isolator before smashing the electrical circuits with the axe!
