The end of spooks...

RE: The end of spooks...
Wasn't Harry accused of being a mole and even arrested in 7.7? He was framed then. Would Spooks repeat more or less the same story in S10? I have to agree that Harry as a mole does not make sense. The storyline that Harry, after a youthful betrayal, wanted to redeem himself through an exemplary career is as distasteful as a double-agent Harry.

The deep secret might be a black ops that went wrong and was covered up by Harry. But how could it threaten his family and even Section D, unless somebody from his past, British or foreigner, wants revenge after so many years?

Perhaps in its press release, Kudos has inflated the "secret of Harry" with a hint of betrayal to attract viewers.

I hope that Spooks quickly deals with Harry's secret and moves on with interesting weekly storylines.

RE: The end of spooks...
To be coherent and in continuity with Spooks: code 9, it should finish with The team destroyed by the nuclear attack during the 2012 Summer Olympics... :-)

RE: The end of spooks...
Kudos antagonized Lucas’s fans in S9.

Series 10 Spoiler: show
I tried not to get too upset with the reactions of dismay by Lucas’s fans during the viewing of S9. At the back of my mind, there was always the thought that Kudos might alienate the H/R fans in S10 just for the sake of shock and awe.

Series 10 Spoiler: show
In the Episode 7 commentary, NW complained that she never had had the negative (freezing) of the final shoot. I hope that it is auspicious and not ominous that the producer/writer promised her the biggest one of all.

RE: The end of spooks...
The fact that peter and ruth are rooting for their characters to get together might also have sum weight. I think there would be serious uproar if either of them died no matter how realstic or depressing spooks can be. No matter how honourable harrys inten.tions were i thnk at the end of the day the govt wants a fall guy, an excuse like zoey. Any acknoledgement that his past choices were in the big scheme of things right, will prob only be admitted privatly rather than publically, and thus harry must leave the service. Look at dat ruined spook they brought bak in 9.8. At they end of thedday the country needs these people, unconventional or not.

It was the wind Ruth...

RE: The end of spooks...
At least the article also confirms that it will be about Harry. I was pretty sure this was it anyway after a tweet Sam Vincent sent to David Lynch a few months ago but I was holding out for confirmation.

At least
Series 10 Spoiler: show
it's been written with the end in mind. Fitting the focus is on Harry and also Ruth as confirmed by Jane Featherstone in that deathly article above. Talk about the axe falling. I do so hope the actors were told officially rather than reading it in the Guardian.

Ah, okay, so this will be the end. I am also glad that, at least, it was their own decision, meaning we are likely to see a more or less definiteve ending, then. It would have been terrible if they ended on a cliff-hanger not knowing there wouldn't be another season commissioned.

RE: The end of spooks...
Very sad indeed. Thanks for a great time Kudos these last ten years.

Blow the diet today. I think this calls for a large coffee with all the trimmings and a bacon roll with brown sauce....Perhaps some cake later....?
