RE: Series 10 - Episode 5 Discussion
Brilliant episode all round. I was hoping for a bit more from the interrogation of Coaver but the car chase scene was very dramatic, wonderful camera angles. Loved Ruth's subtle annoyance at having to open the pill bottle for the HS (he does get some great witty lines) and then copying it at the embassy, although I did expect them to suddenly all be flying over the woman's desk as the distraction.
All H/R scenes were true to form saying little but implying so much although.... Series 10 Spoiler: show |

Wow, this episode was one of the best ones so far.
I loved all the Ruth/Harry scenes, they were so lovely done by NW and PF. I think they are brilliant at what they do in this series. And the close-up shots of Harry while he was talking (or listening) to Ilya Gavrik were very very nice. That said, I also loved their conversation. Even though there were a few unrealistic things in this episode; they didn't bother me at all. Ha! I have to watch it again today and am so glad I took Ian Wylie's advice not to look a the next week bits. |

Talk abotu being back on form Spooks! this ep PROVES why KUDOS has made a huge mistake in deciding to end spooks ( yes its Kudos not all the BBC). i think that it was the best ep of this series so far. Harry is still hiding things from everyone perhaps including himself!
i guessed as soon as the first lot of CIA turned up they we baddies! Lots of harry and ruth interaction they are both so restraned my god man just kiss the woman properly! that kiss on the beach was like gene hunt kissing alex ruth needs more! most of the fans on here need more than a little kiss! there are lots of red herrings kicking around ( i did notice the pub in this ep with the same name). but judging by Spoiler: show actualy genualy sad there is only one ep left! also did i miss some meaning behind the whole tortoise in the garden SPOOKS 2002-2011 - Thanks for the Memory's

RE: Series 10 - Episode 5 Discussion
Mmmm. Last night was the 1st time I felt that awful, knotted feeling in my gut. It was very gripping. And, it seems, that I was right about Ilya so won't he be shown up royally when it all comes out that Harry's the daddy.
There looks to be a 5th man tied up with the Treptower incident, at least that was hinted in the files and was he the same man working with the rogue Serbs? It looks very much like Ilya is trying to forment dissent within the Russian Federation (perhaps wishing to return to a more Communist agenda) which is why Harry's so keen to lock down the negotiations. I've always longed to a Ruth & Harry happy ending but I cannot believe that the writers will allow us that, not in a million years and expect to be left on a (very precipitous) cliffhanger next week. The agonies......... veni vidi nodavi |

Obviously, he does not know about Harry's love for Ruth and his protective feelings for Sasha. Unfortunately, both Elena and Sasha have realized the importance of Ruth in Harry's life and I dread the consequences of this knowledge. |

RE: Series 10 - Episode 5 Discussion
How gripping was that!! The car chase was brilliant although the hanging out the door stunt made me laugh and snort "as if!" I was so disappointed when I thought the Home Secretary had been blown up as I saw all those wonderful one-liners disappearing but no, he's just been deafened by the blast. I'm thinking Ilya is as innocent in all this as Coaver had been and do wonder if Elena was perhaps persuaded to become an agent for the KGB when they arrested her. A threat on Sasha's life would have been enough, talking of whom, poor Sasha, he'd worked it out hadn't he, before he grabbed the laptop but was still devasted. Hmm, what else is he up to? So long as Harry survives I'm convinced he and Ruth will be together because their feelings are so out in the open now they can't be ignored plus Ilya's conclusions about Harry's life definitely hit home. He might construct a new life without the grid but not without Ruth.
Same as Tineke, thanks to Ian Wylie I hit the mute button and shut my eyes during the trailer for next week. It seemed awfully long as I kept peaking through my fingers to see if it had finished and saw a flash of action before covering my face again so hopefully they didn't give too much away to everyone else but I'll be avoiding everything Spooks-related until after the last episode in case someone lets slip. |

RE: Series 10 - Episode 5 Discussion
First of all l must apologise for *lurking* for the last six weeks, l always felt like l was intruding but l've decided l have to speak up if only so some of you can get some sleep for the next six days until 9pm on Sunday!
I wouldn't allow your imaginations to get the better of you, everything WILL be fine. Everything in life must run it's course for closure too come. Also worth noting, if it is your day to die, then it's your day to die...but the same also applies if it's not your day THEN it's not your day. Rest easy my friends, you will sleep very soundly in your respective bed's next Sunday night, l give you my word. However, if you feel you can't accept my word for the moment and you need a little more concrete thoughts, then l suggest you go and seek out the GSR arc from CSI which also ran for exactly 10 years and was way more complicated than Ruth and Harry and look how that ended. Sleep sound my friends this is indeed a sad week as the end is coming but it is also a very satisfying one. Cheers Endinghappy |
