Lol... I've been looking at the series 9 wishlist thread, and it's interesting to see how many people want more HR (although the extent of the relationship is different for each person...)

Well, secretly I want them to be madly in love - and that they actually show us that on screen - kisses, hugging, cuddling in bed, waking up together etc. But I try to maintain some dignity in the threads that are not focussed on either Harry or Ruth.

Of course I want them to go the whole hog (so to speak) but I dont think you will see it on the show. Most TV stations shy away from showing too much of a middle aged relationship. I think the best we could hope for is a before and after scene with Harry making Ruth a cup of sweet tea in the morning. We have though in the past had a lot of Zoe/Danny home life scenes and Adam/Fiona home life scenes. I think they worked out ok. Trying to think if we have had anymore with other characters.

I know that some on this forum dont like having too much character/relationship analyisis in the show but I think you need that in Spooks to break up the storylines which sometimes start going off on a tangent.

It can be done tastefully, though. Kudos should look at how Battlestar Galactica handled the Adm Adama/Pres Roslin relationship if they need inspiration on the handling of a middle-aged relationship. They managed to show them in bed in a very tasteful manner. But I agree hell will probably freeze over and pigs will fly before we see Harry and Ruth like that.

It's a pitty but I think we won't see them like that , as Tea Lady said, it'll be more like home scenes; if they are actually going to live together... I don't think they will for now (perhaps at the end of series 9). I think we're being too much optimistic... I'd be content if they go on with their relationship... I don't trust Kudos

But yes I want lots of tons of Harry&Ruth

Yes, somehow I think we won't see them living togther anytime soon -- he's still her boss, after all.

Hmmm, yes... one to ponder. We could still have a little more progression in their relationship before their work prevents them from getting further.
