RE: Nicola Walker
What a great interview. I'm not sure that it gives anything away regarding the feel for the future of Harry and Ruth, but I did enjoy it.
The blog for Episode four isn't as long, I wonder if that was because of the NW interview or the content of the episode. |

RE: Nicola Walker
Fantastic interview! There are some great questions from Mr Wylie. It is very interesting to have character insight straight from the source and this in depth re: Ruth's major themes this series. You can't mention Ruth without a little bit of Harry. When it is mentioned, its not Ruth as it relates to Harry but Harry as it relates to Ruth.
I do not deny that a good portion of my appreciation for the Ruth character is that she is a reasonably truthful and undeniably strong representation of an intelligent mature woman. I am glad that it sounds like Ruth will have her own arc. Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks]; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. ~Wm. Shakespeare, Hamlet |

RE: Nicola Walker
Great interview -- we learn a lot about Ruth as a character and Nicloa as an actress.
"What is the truth?" "Betrayal is a cancer. Let it eat your soul, not mine." "Please tell me this isn't going where I think it's going." |

RE: Nicola Walker
I really enjoyed that. Nicola is pretty funny herself, so I can imagine the set being a laugh-fest between her and PF. Her comments about flat sharing with Beth is hilarious - so Ruth makes Beth clean the bath and the loo, and buy the wine!
And how gracious of her to make such nice comments about the Spooks fans, and not call them nutters who accost her at every opportunity demanding to know why Ruth hasn't fallen into Harry's arms yet... |

Nice photo tweeted by Flip18, of NW and HN at a recent after show party.

Oh dear, don't go over to the other SC forum to check out their reaction to this interview unless you are feeling strong! They have got themselves into a bit of a depression fest over there. I think like all good interviewees NW has whet our appetite without giving too much away.
Anyway, I'm off to bake some favourite biscuits to take to join Tea Lady over in Optimistics Corner. She may have run out. |

Lots of cake. She doesn't really give that much away so I don't think it's anything to get too worried about. She certainly doesn't say how H/R will end up this series. She leaves it open and probably at the direction of Kudos. Come on, the H/R thing and Lucas thing, are the two major stories for this season. They are not going to ruin the endings, whether they are happy or sad, for the viewers. We can keep guessing and reading everything into nothing, but none of us really know what is in store for our favourite characters. *goes away and eats custard cream* |

RE: Nicola Walker
I agree with Tea Lady, she doesn't want to reveal what will happen and it's normal, it wouldn't be so intriguing if she told us and I'm sure they want us to be intrigued so we are eager to watch next episode! They can't drag much more this HR storyline *goes to bake some apple cake to contribute this small comunity of desperate optimists* (well, I think we are not so desperate)

RE: Nicola Walker
The interview does soon like the romance is not going anyway however, it also says they deal with it in a mature why...possibly stop arguing, start going on dates and acting like a couple...there is no way Kudos would have allowed NW to spill the beans, and remember the interview was before the series started...(well I think I read that somewhere!)

RE: Nicola Walker
I'm going to bring some chocolate cake into this corner and join the optimists! NW definitely says the relationship develops in a grown up way. 'Develop' is a positive word - isn't it?? I think we may need extra chocolate on this cake to get us through this series.
