RE: Episode 5 Discussion
I agree with lwhite53, at that moment MI5 didn't suspect of her, and Lucas acted as if it was normal that she was there...

RE: Episode 5 Discussion
Another nitpicky thing -- I thought the UK was meant to have very stringent gun laws. In ep 5, Lucas has a gun under his pillow, Ros has one tucked away in her cupboard, Christine 2.0 pulls one from the back waistband of her slacks, and Coleville also has one. What is going on here?? Carrying a gun seems to be a spooks norm now.

They're MI5, I'm sure they could get hold of a gun if they wanted to. lol.

It's a tv thing, I think. In MI5, in reality, I doubt very much that you'd have easy access to a gun without three tons of paperwork, let alone be allowed to have a gun in your flat. The UK are quite strict about guns (well, I say quite, they are banned...)

DANNY - Placements all over the shop. Back up vehicles, chopper support if we need it. Bomb disposal with a signal jammer for Mary’s trademark remote control blasts. And Tom here’s doing the catering. Mate. You are so covered.

Yeah, but that's very different to the earlier series, where guns were not standard issue. They seem to carry them all the time now -- could easily be NY or Washinton, DC or any other large American city.

I disagree that they weren't suspicious of her before Lucas asked her about what she was doing. Remember that Ruth had discovered her signal was bare feet away from where Walker died.

This way they have a chance of finding out what her game is, although they don't realise her ends are synonymous with the Basel group, who is yet to be named as Nightingale. A member of whom was on the phone with her when tracking Meynard.

But Ruth's info didn't come until the end of the ep (last 5-ish minutes). The killing of Maynard in the TV studio happens around the middle of the ep.

RE: Episode 5 Discussion
Ruth told Lucas before he went to see Sarah at the end of 8.5 that Sarah was in the building with *Walker* when he died. Bare feet away. Thus Section D already had reason to be suspicious of Sarah before she outright lied to Lucas.

The reason I mentioned Meynard (seperately) was that we, the audience, know that Sarah is part of the Basel Group called Nightingale (she killed Walker to protect it), so we can also infer that the guy on the end of the phone when she was tracking Meynard was also part of the same group.

Hope this makes better sense.
