RE: Series 9 rumour - possible spoiler......
Thanks for the link Tea Lady (I was a little nervous in the morning, that's the reason for my previous rant). I could lend you a tent if you want, and I can be your tent mate after the 23rd Tongue

You might get into some of the footage as an extra. If you're really good, signed?

Rooftop scene:
Beth and Dmitri sneak up and disarm Lucas, cuff him and lead him away.
Lucas screams, "No Harry please, I'd rather die!"

Harry: "We're sending you to rehab ................. in Texas."

I'd love to set up camp just to say i'd done it in the future. Tongue (Don't have the time though. Sad)

I am now even more comfortable in my belief that Series 9 is going ahead. That's two major (more reliable) newspapers saying the same thing now.

I'll keep an eye out of my window, in case they start filming at the Radisson. When do they normally start?

To be honest, any show which the BBC deems good enough to air on both BBC1 & BBC3 should be safe from the axe. It's the BBC which should be worried - if they aren't prepared to dish out the dough, I bet Sky1 would jump at the chance to steal Spooks from them.

I wondered that Carole9908. I guess if the BBC didnt want it there would be no reason why SKY couldnt bid for the programme rights surely? Think of the adverts though!!

As for filming, it usually starts around February I think. I am sure I read in the book "Spooks Behind The Scenes" that it takes around one month to film one episode. I am not quite sure how they managed 10 episodes in a series then. Maybe they had multiple episodes being filmed at the same time by different crews.

According to all the dvd extras, they usually film two eps at once so that would account for the short film time.

Given the awards the show has garnered, I would think that if the BBC, for whatever reason, didn't continue with spooks, another network would take it up.

Hi!

Ian Wylie, has written this in Twitter:

"For those asking, I can confirm that BBC1 has commissioned series 9 of Spooks. No more details at present."

Forgive my ignorance but who or what relevance has Ian Wylie?

He's a well-know journalist in Britain, for example, yesterday he interviewed Miranda Raison. So I would say he's a fiable source Smile

The positive comments keep coming. Hurrah! All these people cant be wrong. While I am not a big fan of Ian Wylie he does seem to have inside knowledge from good sources. It wouldnt surprise me if Kudos has been leaking this information in the absence of a BBC announcement.
