RE: Peter Firth
Silktie: he does, indeed, look (even) better in real life! PF's demeanour is more animated - he was joking alot with the crew.

He does seem very laid back - if you watch the Top Gear clip, he seems to have a wonderfully British silly sense of humour, too. And in the Mail on Sunday article, he said that the only quality he shares with Harry is his sense of anarchy...that he's rather more laid back. Good for him.

"Where's Harry?"
"Moving in mysterious ways."

RE: Peter Firth
Hey Guys,
Just letting you know that i have a direct connection with Peter and he has in fact agreed to help out with my charity memorabilia idea, which is that if any of you fans are interested in bidding for any memorabilia from a range of his films and works (all autographed of course) then i would be willing to post them on eBay. Of course a large percentage would go to a charity of Peters choice but he has also said he is open to suggestions which one the proceeds are donated to, so please feel free to e-mail me with any ideas of what you would bid on, like to own, and what charity you would like to see the proceeds go to.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum FirthAutograph and especially with such glad tidings. I take it that bidding on PF himself is out of the question?!!!!

RE: Peter Firth
Welcome, FirthAutograph! Oh, to have a direct connection with PF! Perhaps in another universe...the one where I'm 20 years younger, thin and blond...

More to the point, I'd certainly bid on autographed items for charity. A copy of "White Angel", perhaps? Or a photo of Peter (rather than Harry).

I'd suggest a children's charity - will email with suggestions.

"Moving in mysterious ways."

RE: Peter Firth
Interesting article in the Liverpool Echo today about Letter to Brezhnev and its 25 year anniversary. I didnt realise the PF had made it for free.

Thanks for the link, Tea Lady. I hope PF had a deferred payment agreement!

RE: Peter Firth
thankyou to both picard & silktie. I don't know whether it has been mentioned that PF has a nice little role [approx. 20 mins.] as Soldier/Emperor Vespasian in the BBC Doc. 'Ancient Rome/The Rise & Fall of an Empire'.

RE: Peter Firth
It is a great role in the Ancient Rome series. PF looks great. It available on YouTube, I think. Search for the episode called "Jewish Rebellion"
