well we know she was working with him.. as she feels less intensely for him (in my opinion) than she does Harry, she probably finds it easier to be more relaxed with him, having tried to put to one side her feelings for Harry and desiring normality. So I'm sure some casual hospital flirting took it's natural course.

Still feel that they seemed to "lonely spinsterise" her between 2 and 3 however... whether she went out with "swinging dick" or not, something in her confidence levels seems to change. hey ho, only my thoughts....

I am rewatching season 4 at the moment, and was struck by the wonderful friendship between Ruth and Adam. They really looked out for each other. It would be nice if Ruth could have that again with someone on the Grid, like Lucas. Tariq is a little young to look out for Ruth... It will also allow us to see a different dimension of Ruth, rather than just always seeing her interacting with Harry, wonderful though that is.

That was one of the things I loved best about season 4. You really get a sense of that too with Zaf on her last day before she leaves in 5.5.

I have no issues with Ruth and Lucas being friends - it could be an interesting relationship. My only issue would be if it interrupted the HR romance (any interruptions can not be approved Tongue

Not at all. You know I am absolutely for getting them together AND keeping them together!

I'm really glad Ruth has her choir. Singing is not only really good for you but it's nice she's trying to have some sort of life this time outside the Grid.

I agree - she has got a proper life now, which of course can only be good (I say this as a person who spends several hours a day on Spooks Forum and most of the day on the computer - pot kettle...)
