RE: [spoilers] Ruth
Nico definitely knew that it was Ruth's fault that they were in England, stuck in a flat. So I guess he would have told his family that much. Just how the MI5 (?) or the police explained that George was shot, I have no idea, but I doubt they would have told then the truth ! I would imagine that Nico would blame Ruth for his father's death and would not want to speak to her.

RE: [spoilers] Ruth
I got the impression that George's family knew what happened to him as Ruth said to Harry "what sort of welcome do you think they would give me." If they had made up a death certificate and stuck the back of his head back on, then they could have just said George was hit by a double decker (I dont mean Peter Firth but the bus) or something. If that was the case then why would have George's family held it against Ruth if George was killed in an accident?
Actually thinking about it, perhaps Ruth meant that George's family were cheesed off that they were now going to have to look after the brat Nico!! |

RE: [spoilers] Ruth
Geez, Tea Lady, you really don't like that child! Anyway, I don't think R trying to contact Nico and then being rebuffed has any real value in pushing the story forward. It might be momentarily dramatic but I don't think it's worth enough to drag that storyline up again.

RE: [spoilers] Ruth
I was thinking the same thing, hit by a double decker, honestly!!!hahaha But Nico must remember the man with a gun...
LOL that was funny, poor Nico's family I think I agree with HellsBells and lwhite53, it won't be of any help to the story to develop... "Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt" Pactum serva |

RE: [spoilers] Ruth
I'm with Tea Lady on the kid. I don't want anyone from Ruth's past in Cyprus to come back. I would love to see a strong work-related episode for her in season 9. Something in the line of her having to go undercover for some reason and having to cope with working in the field.

RE: [spoilers] Ruth
I thought we had a rule that Ruth was never allowed to go into the field again. Every single time she does, something bad happens to her!!!!

RE: [spoilers] Ruth
I think that Ruth is stronger and more resilient than we give her credit for, and not just since she came back. I want to see more of that.
Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

RE: [spoilers] Ruth
I know, but it creates the opportunity for great drama...Plus we can have Lucas in the field with her, and Harry trying to cope with Ruth being in the field without becoming over-protective...

OK -- she can go off the grid with Lucas but she definitely can't go out alone! And she has to look both ways before she crosses the street! "What is the truth?" "Betrayal is a cancer.
