Relationships with a country other than America would be good. I know we have a 'special relationship' with America but there are other countries in the world Kudos!

Definitely China! And I would love to see more international stuff! I mean I know MI5 are the internal service but they seem to get involved with a lot of stuff anyway Wink

For me personally I would love Arab-Israeli politics to be a storyline maybe some sort of conference? I don't know if it would work but I would love it!
I want a good old fashioned episode where someone goes undercover, infiltrates a terror cell and saves the world Big Grin

Those episodes never grow old for me Tongue

I know it was sort of touched on 8.7 but I want to see a grid member go into deep cover (maybe tariq?)

Yeh, other countries' secret intelligence/security services would be interesting. What about somebody from Mossad or the French SS? BTW - since the CIA seem to wander the streets of London sticking noses wherever - can we assume that MI5 and/or MI6 are doing the same in Washington DC?

And perhaps some female love interest who isn't CIA for a change? What about the return of the Bond-style Russian femme-fatale? There is surely a story in Russia trying to reassert itself/find its place in the New World order? The changeover from KGB to FSB etc. Must be some mileage in that lot? After all, it can become a bit samey if all plots are to do with fanatical islamic terrorist cells. What about good old east v west intrigue?

Or maybe the EU? Thats another emerging superpower that Spooks hasn't really touched on... Maybe how the European security services cooperate? I think that would be quite interesting and topical.

Yeh, Europe is pretty invisible isn't it? Despite us being a part of this emerging proto-superpower, you would never know it in Spooks. But then again perhaps the worlds of espionage and counter-intelligence reflect the reality of our own on-off relationship with Europe? Given the incredible difficulty we have in getting anything agreed in Brussels - what chance would MI5/MI6 have with their respective counterparts across the channel?

If the French or Italians were involved there would be loads of mistresses etc. Potential for lots of blackmail stories and sordid affairs. Perhaps some stories involving the mob?

I think it would be nice to have an episode where everything that's done on the grid is closely monitored by higher ups during an important op. Everyone gets stressed at having officals breathing down their necks and people are chastised for 'un-necessary' meets, dead-drops, briefings to get away from them, (*cough*H/R*cough*) etc...
(Think elements of 2.5, 2.6, 4.9 and 5.8).

I just think it would be good to see how the current Grid members deal with it seeing as we've had lots of action without much higher-up involvement or such.

Hope that makes sense and isn't just rambling.
