Met anyone famous?
Who of you have met someone famous at some point? Who were they and how did you come to meet them?
I've met most of the England Rugby team (2003) and a few people from Hollyoaks, that's about it I think. Prince Charles did visit our uni last week, but I didn't meet him so much as just see him lol. Sig & Av Guidelines | Rules | Spoiler Policy |

RE: Met anyone famous?
I met Richard Attenborough at a charity screening of Shadowlands many years ago and had a picture taken with him.
I dont know if it counts or if she counts as someone famous but I sat next to Michelle Gayle (singer and Eastenders) in Chez Gerard a couple of weeks ago when having breakfast. I also went to a party at Vinnie Jones's house many years ago and chatted to John Motson in the queue for the loo. |

Yes Richard Attenborough was lovely. He kept getting dragged away from us but he knew we were waiting to meet him and get a photo, so he said he would be back and an hour later he reappeared keeping his promise. A great man.

RE: Met anyone famous?
My friend met David Tennant yesterday - I am so so so jealous
Prince Andrew visited my school once, the previous Sheikh of the United Arab Emirates drove past me, and my dad walked into and knocked over Tom Jones And I know someone who's had the lead role in a small independent film, but that's all. |

Yeah, brilliant eh? It was outside Halfords, and my dad was rushing to Imperial College because he was late to give a lecture, and he just collided into him

RE: Met anyone famous?
I used to work professionally in theater in New York, so I've met and worked with a bunch of people who would be considered famous in the theater/dance world: James Earl Jones, Raul Julia (now dead), Ron Silver, John Lithgow, Sam Waterston, Twyla Tharp, Kathleen Widdoes, Irene Cara, Estelle Parsons, etc, etc . . . Oh yeah, forgot about Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward.

John Lighgow!! Paul Newman!! That's awesome!!!
I don't know if you're much into football, but I met some of the players of Deportivo de La Coruña in its golden years, it's a small club but it did some great things some years ago I was a big fan. I met Alejandro Amenábar (the Spanish director) 5 years ago in Madrid, I came across him, he was really nice, he took a picture with me and I congratulated him on his last film "Mar adentro". Another actor I met, was Alberto San Juan (may be you don't know who he is, he is very famous here), I went to a tv programme and he was the guest star. He's so gourgeous, very nice too (I have a picture with him too ) But I didn't met any other internationally famous person "Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt" Pactum serva |

RE: Met anyone famous?
The only (semi) famous people I have ever met are footballers haha I used to love waiting for autographs when Derby were in the premier league (now not so much lol)
Me and my friend also saw Alistair McGowan whilst shopping but we were too scared to go up to him so we sort of ended up following (stalking lol) him around Nottingham for ages! Haha |
