Oh yeah, forgot about Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. Wow, that's impressive. I love James Earl Jones and as for Paul Newman!!! |

And what they say is really true -- those blue eyes were extraordinary!
"What is the truth?" "Betrayal is a cancer. Let it eat your soul, not mine." "Please tell me this isn't going where I think it's going." |

As a theatre nerd, lwhite53's meeting record is very cool. John Lithgow's currently doing Mr and Mrs Fitch on Broadway with Jennifer Ehle, which would be so great to see. He's apparently writing his memoirs. I've always been really embarassed when I've met famous people in the context of work. Truthfully, they've always been really lovely, either when I've interviewed them or when I was bringing them dinner and pouring their drinks. So that's encouraging. I always feel a little silly, though - it must be so weird for them getting recognized and having people come up and say how wonderful they are and how much they love their work. I find it weird enough when someone says that to me after a wedding I've sung at, let alone if I did something that lots of people were witness to. That's probably why I try and treat them like anyone else. And before you say it, no, I don't give them the same s*** service I give everybody. I must admit, I did get a little swoony after meeting Hugh Jackman. He is every bit as lovely as people in the industry would have you believe. And just as handsome. And Deborah Lee Furness, his incredibly talented wife, is also terrific. So she deserves him. Many thanks to Tyger for a terrific signature |

Since we were all working no one really paid much attention to who they actually were. All we wanted was for them to get their lines right so we could do the damn cues properly! LOL. It's amazing what you're thinking in that kind of situation (and much of it has to do with how unbelievably looooong actors can make those bloody pregnant pauses while your fingers are going into rigor mortis on the lighting board waiting to "go" on a cue). I did get a check from Ronnie Silver once -- he'd lost a bunch of money to me playing poker. Did I save it for posterity? No way -- went right out and cashed that sucker! "What is the truth?" Yep, in that situation everyone is just Joe Blow and all you want is to get it (whatever the "it" may be) done.
