It would be very convenient indeed if the emergencies happened Mon-Fri 9am-5pm GMT. In addition to that it has been clearly established with both of their characters that they work all the time! RE: [spoilers] Harry and Ruth Strike Back
Ok, what was that phone scene really about? Was it just nothing? Was it thrown in to only help the Beth storyline along? Or was it to give us shippers, some glimmer of hope for the future? I'm not sure.
Ruth clearly did not need to tell Harry this information there and then. There was nothing either of them could do about it until the morning anyway. Ruth was on her own when she phoned Harry and had been drinking wine at home, late into the evening. Clearly that is not the act of a happy lady. I honestly think she just wanted to hear his voice and was feeling low. I felt though, as usual she covered her tracks with work, but then let her guard down a little at the end, because there was a beat. Harry did seem a little choked at the end of the call. I am afraid that Ruth has got to leave Harry alone now. |

Even though I liked the scene, I thought that it seemed unnecessary plotwise and agree it might have been added to give us H/R fans hope. I loved the way Harry asked her if there was "anything else", he seemed to convey such hope and desperation. I agree that Ruth needs to leave Harry alone, she can't keep stringing him along! We move on from this It's the realisation that I make a negligible difference Sometimes you have to give a man a chance |

RE: [spoilers] Harry and Ruth Strike Back
Maybe she was going to say something else but changed her mind after Harry said what he said. And when he said his hopeful 'Anything else' Beth came in so she couldn't say what she wanted to say.
I must say that little scene isn't much of a scrap to sustain us for another week is it? Feel a tad deflated after that episode, even though the rest was of course brilliant as usual. |

RE: [spoilers] Harry and Ruth Strike Back
I just felt sad for Harry. Clearly he had just a little tiny bit of hope there, when he asked if there was anything else and she paused. Ruth must know that she broke his heart. She is not helping Harry to move on.
I have a feeling that while there may be more R/H to come in this series, my guess would be, it is later on, and there will only be scraps in the next two or three episodes. Hope I am wrong though. |
