I'm not surprised they've received death threats. It crossed my mind, too... Offer a burger made from an endangered species... How many different kinds of stupid is that? And what is a US Dept of Agriculture farm doing raising lions to be eaten???

I am simply horrified. It seems Arizona renders themselves infamous - again. They couldn't have stuck to antelope or bush rat? What is the most stupid to me is the blatant stereotype they are perpetuating because when you think African animals you think about lions. Lions are not a standard protein source in Africa as far as I can tell.

Maybe I being a hypocrite. I will admit that I have eaten buffalo, which are also endangered, and bear. The difference being they are accepted meat sources from prior to European settlement in the US.
