Sorry, they're not uploaded anywhere. If you can remember one that you liked, I can try to make a bigger version for you, as the avatars are too small to use for this purpose.

RE: Spooks merchandise
Silktie - which Ep is your current pic from where H is so serious and R is laughing? I don't recall too much laughing in Spooks.
And can anyone advise what is a good size (in technical terms) for pic reproduction on say a cup or keyring? I can get the stils etc but not sure what size the image needs to be. I'm going to have a go (for personal use of course) |

RE: Spooks merchandise
It's from 8.7 I think, the scene where Ruth says she'd forgotten how they used people as chess pieces and Harry says he needs her to remind him that they're working with people. It was a very serious scene, so she wasn't really laughing in it.

RE: Spooks merchandise
I'm feeling a little peeved now. I ordered my fabulous mug with Silktie's great avatar on it and have been eagerly awaiting its arrival and hoping to post a pic on here. I've just had an email from the mug company saying they can't produce the mug because it fails their guideline standards. They weren't specific, but when I read the guidelines I had to reach the conclusion that it might have had something to do with the fact that it was a picture of a man pointing a gun at the camera saying "Vengeance is Mine"!!
Some people have no sense of humour. |

Pleased to see I still have my SOH. Perhaps it was the file ratio/size technobabble stuff that failed rather than the content though? I want to get one done, but I'm unsure of what size the picture should be. That would've been a classic mug. I also like Silktie's avatar about not accepting a drink from this man (H with his poisoned quaffable whiskey) Sorry, ST I may have to copy that idea! |

OK, to print anything properly you need an image that is 300dpi. You can measUre this in Photoshop but if you don'thave that and want to PM me, I am happy to measure it for you. Let me know what height you want the image on the mug and i'll let you know.

RE: Spooks merchandise
DogSoSmall, I've had mugs printed with guns on so I agree that it may just be the quality of the image. Good luck.

RE: Spooks merchandise
Thanks, I will do that. Although it wasn't the size that was the problem for me. They warned that the dimensions of my pic would mean it was a little less than perfect but were happy to do it. It was the infringement of "no images of violence" that was the problem - they just don't realised that Harry is really a cuddly teddy bear! I've just looked back a couple of pages and seen a link to another site which will hopefully be less prissy (or should I say moral and correct). I'll try them!

RE: Spooks merchandise
I'm feeling frustrated now. I emailed the mug company for clarification on why they wouldn't print it and they said this
"Unfortunately, one of your products has been cancelled because it contains content that violates Peter Firth’s rights of celebrity/publicity. Generally speaking, we cannot fulfill any orders containing a copyright or trademark protected title, name, or image. Examples of infringing material include: --pictures or names of celebrities --names of characters from books, films, or television shows --titles of books, feature films, television shows, or magazines --images from films, television shows, video games, or the internet " I thought it was pretty cool that they recognised Peter Firth, so I'm thinking this is a very nice company! However, it means I'm getting nowhere. Does anyone have an opinion on whether 1) PF would mind being violated or 2) if not, whether there is another avenue I could try? |
