Hmm I see where you're coming from. I think it was the hair; shorter hair suits him so much better!

RE: Rupert Penry-Jones
I thought the episode was OK but it wasn't the most interesting of the series. It would perhaps have been more interesting if they had kept the Indian blood thing back until the end. Instead you were expecting it from the start. Like you guys, I also thought he didn't look particularly well. As for not being able to read the writing, he was clearly embarrassed about that, but the producers could have helped him more so he wasn't struggling on camera.

RE: Rupert Penry-Jones
it did seem a little harsh really thinking back on it, especialy near the end when he was almost pleading at the camera guy to help him!
it seemed to just end as well which was odd if you know what i mean? SPOOKS 2002-2011 - Thanks for the Memory's

Yes that was a little uncomfortable, watching him in the church at the end. I don't think it added anything to the program so why show him struggling like that. They could have just cut that scene. In most of the other episodes, there are always researchers about to help. He was just left in this church in the middle of nowhere, with no help, trying to interpret those ancient books. |

RE: Rupert Penry-Jones
Good news for scottish RPJ fans, the new series of Whitechapel starts on STV soon I can't find any confirmation that ITV will also be showing it on Monday 11 October at 9 pm, but the new Stephen Tompkinson drama DCI Banks finishes the week before, so fingers crossed, even if it clashes with season 9 of Spooks!!
