It's true that the lies over the years might include the Gavriks, but the focus of the series is on Harry and he will be the most affected by these betrayals. His whole career and not only his family life might have been tainted by the Cold War lies. I am sure that he is going to be crushed by the unexpected revelations.

I still believe that his guilt over his supposed abandonment and perhaps his role in the betrayal of Russian agents to Elena (I would not be surprised if there was more to his guilt than Elena and Sasha) must be more have pushed him to become in some ways an "emotional cripple".

I might be wrong. If he is killed, it changes the dynamics of the Gavrik family. Who would be behind his murder?

I am sure that the Gavrik spouses had to face their own guilt and betrayal since the Cold War. It is hard to know who is telling the truth to Harry about their relationship: Ilya or Elena?

I do not trust Sasha either.

In short, everybody might be affected by the decade-long deceit, not only the Gavriks but I still believe mostly Harry and Ruth.
