RE: How did you get into watching Spooks?
How did I start watching Spooks,
A very strange connection, but also true, it all began with the Tomb Raider games I used to be a huge gamer, played Tomb Raider Anniversary, in which Keeley Hawes voiced Lara Croft. I wanted to watch a TV show with Keeley in so I watched Ashes to Ashes and loved it. After Ashes ended I wanted something else to watch with Keeley in, and a friend on facebook told me about Spooks, he told me it was good and I was very curious, did some research on it and thought it was interesting, Then I went searching for it on youtube... saw about 10 minutes of 2.1 and was hooked. Next day went to HMV and bought Series 1, the week after I got S3 and S2, and then within 2 months I had S1-7 on DVD and got S8 for Christmas... At first, Zoe was my favourite character... but watching through each Series, Harry, Ruth, Ros, Jo Adam and Lucas quickly became my faves Haha Rewatching episodes, I often watch them out of order and all jumbled, it's very diffucult trying to explain to other people who havent seen the whole Series whats going on Especially in Series 7 You and I...We're made of secrets-Ruth Evershed S10 "If it was up to me and Peter they'd have done it loads by now"- Nicola Walker |

RE: How did you get into watching Spooks?
The former tv critic at the San Francisco Chronicle gave MI-5 a great review and seasons 1/2 were aired as one season on the A&E channel (which has neither arts or valuable entertainment anymore). I was instantly hooked and being an anglophile, loved the fact that it was based in the UK and trying to figure out terminology and expressions we don't use out here (beyond the obvious words like lift flat, and car-park). Then A&E dumped most of season 2 into about 3 nights and I missed them all. Thanks to Netflix, I slowly started catching up and then had the brainwave of seeing what the BBC site had as far as information. That helped pass the time away as I waited for new seasons to get over here. And then there's the Netflix Instant Queue which uses my son's wii and our wifi, I have seasons 1-7 (save 5) available 24/7 and of late have been re-watching episodes depending on whether I'm in a Tom, Adam or Lucas mood. And off topic, still no Ashes to Ashes DVDs in the US. A huge bummer...

Ashes to Ashes was great especially Philip Glenister he was such a good and funny actor. I use to watch Life on Mars before Ashes to ahses which was the same but with a male character playing the protagonist! I still think Spooks tops it though

Found it through a friend who knew I was into the Bond movies. Seems cool, but I'm only a few seasons in so far....

RE: How did you get into watching Spooks?
I got into watching Spooks in the shallowest manner possible. It was all because of Tom Quinn. I was flipping through channels (didn't have that many) and came upon Tom and Ellie having an arguement. Tom was sitting by the window in some very flattering light/shadows, and I was just thinking "Who's that? He's gorgeous! I don't care if this show is about making pot-holders, I'm watching!" Luckily it was a bit more extiting than that.

RE: How did you get into watching Spooks?
I must admit I bought the series 7 DVDs before having ever watched a single episode of Spooks before just because of Richard Armitage.
Then I put the DVDs away as I didn’t really have time to watch and effectively forgot about them until only a few weeks later German TV started showing Spooks, of course beginning with series 1 and I got hooked. Watched the first three series on TV (and parallely my series 7 DVDs) and then switched over to all the other series on DVD because one episode per week is not enough of course;-) Series 9 then was the first series I watched directly (well on the iPlayer) when it was first broadcast. Funny actually that I found out about Spooks because of Richard Armitage but then he was not necessarily the main reason to watch it and definitely not my favourite character on the show. |

RE: How did you get into watching Spooks?
I got into watching Spooks completely by accident/chance . I was looking at Yahoo TV listings (when they still had them, I think they took them down April of this year). I looked and saw "MI5" in one of the timeslots. Now by the time I saw it, I was too late for the week's episode. Nevertheless, just seeing MI5 made me get interested (I recognized it as the British spy agency). So, I decided to watch it the week after and I have been hooked ever since then! Its become my favorite show on television!

RE: How did you get into watching Spooks?
I was a fan of ashes to ashes and I was subscribe to saiyamar vid on youtube. One day there was a vid with both Alex & Gene and Ruth & Harry. I fall in love with those two and I started watching all the season ( I listened seasons 1-9 in like a month )
