Interesting figures. I expected Whitechapel to get more than that. Spooks must have been close to what it got last week then. 5.4 is the average though. Perhaps people switched over when it all got a bit silly. I know my husband did.
Guardian is reporting Whitechapel averaged 5.6 million and Spooks 5.217. Down on series 1 of Whitechapel which had around 8 million viewers. I think that was a success for Spooks considering all the publicity put into Whitechapel, Spooks audience didn't desert, or just taped the other side.

That's good for Spooks because it's up 200k+ and means it is holding its audience well. Pity the repeat isn't on a Saturday because as it's the same week the figures would be combined.

Even though season 10 is confirmed, I still worry every Tuesday morning about the ratings, so its good to see them remain steady at just over 5 million. It does make me wonder what sort of ratings the beeb would get if they ever showed any trailers. Thanks for posting them nothingisasitseems and TL.

Ha! It looks like quite a few hundred thousand people, didn't like Whitechapel and turned over to watch Spooks.

Just read Ian Wylies Blog. You can get to it through the spooks official website. He updated about an hour ago. Stating; "For all the Harry and Ruth fans out there, pay attention to next weeks teaser trailer". (Or words to that effect).

Lets hope a certain Lady in Waiting (to bloody long in my opinion) get a kiss from her knight in a well tailored business suit. (Sorry couldnt resist). LOL

You can discuss it in the Harry and Ruth thread, Jackdaw Wink

I dislike the shallow assumptions that Lucas is rotten, apparently this person has not watched Spooks for the past two series or somehow has missed that Lucas has always been there for the team when it really counted.

In my opinion, anyone who easily assumes that Lucas is just evil is either brain dead or shallow.

Not quite as funny as last weeks but still very entertaining none the less:

Its clearly a bad time to be a boffin.

Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet [Spooks];
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
