I don't think they could make Ruth into a traitor, it would hurt Harry too much, and I can't see her as suicidal, she still has something to live for, she's still in the Service and has something to give.. Lucas hasn't his time in the service is over and he's got notihng to live for other than Maya and if Ruth was in invlolved with the Chinese why would Lucas kidnap her? wouldn't it make them on the "same side"?

For a big plot twist that could play into another Cliffhanger for Series 10... I just hope Ruth doesn;t die, and that she isn't a traitor... *Bites nails again*

She's been very good with her languages ever since she was in the show. She was also using a Chinese asset in Series 8.

However i am painfully aware that it only lists French, Spanish, Arabic, Persian, Greek (Ancient) and Latin in the personnel files...

The books are no longer up to date though as she was obviously better at normal Greek since she came back and she has now been revealed to know Mandarin and (some terrible) Wu. This could be just simple adding to a character over time like we usually see though so i'm keeping my hopes up.

^I loved the Ruth storyline in this one. This episode reminds me a bit of 3.5 where two different stories were running parallel to each other (Ruth and dinner date, Zoe and Danny on a boat/Ruth and Deery, Lucas storyline). I can't remember much about the other storyline (other than how it ended) but boy do I remember Ruth in this one!

This ep was intense and filled with twists. I was a bit surprised by Ruth shooting and (well repeatedly shooting) killing that guy. Then again, it is understandable for someone in her situation. NW acted really well in this ep.

I have various feelings about Lucas. The storyline was exciting and the revelation about Lucas' past did surprise me. However, I'm not happy with how they're destroying his character.

I just rewatch this episode and I finally realise that the man that Ruth kills is speaking french on the phone. His french is so bad that I didin't realise it at first and french is my maternal language. Anyway it's not really importante it just made me laugh like a idiot.
